I felt so comfortable at the Hakuna Matata Maui Hostel! The place is beautifully furnished, right next to the beach and the staff is super kind and supportive.

this is one of the best places ever… even better than a 5 stars hotel. very very clean (especially the bathroom and the shower, that you have to share with other guests), it is in a very great position, clise to shops and bars and almost in front of the beach where you can easily see turtles all the time snorkelling close to the shore. the hostel provides you with all the equipment, even surf board!

Hakuna Matata Maui Hostel met all my expectations: close to the beach, very friendly people to meet, bicycles to use, nice restaurants & stores around, very good value for the money, could store my luggage… I had a great stay & I would definitely come back again to spend more time here. This place feels like home. I loved the kitchen, the rooms and the atmosphere. There are bikes, surfboards and lots of other stuff you can use for free! It's about 10 meters away from the beach - so the location is amazing. If you need a place to stay in Lahaina, definitely come here!

Dominique, the owner, is such a sweetheart making sure that everyone enjoys their stay at her lovely place. The room was big with plenty of space for everyone, clean, decorated with a lot of love. The hostel is just a couple of steps away from the beach, being perfectly located next to the Lahaina center as well. Surfboards and bikes were also kindly included for free, despite most of the hostels in Hawaii are charging unreasonable fees for using them (e.g. 15-20 Usd/day). The hosts are working all day long to keep the facilities super clean and comfy. Very nice atmosphere, peaceful and friendly. Highly recommended!
