Host Joe was highly comminucating and guided nicely to the reach location. He also immediately after my booking, he reached and informed that the room I booked is a camp site, not a room as booking.com showed. Then I had to request him to upgrade...

This place is great! Super unique experience and good vibes. We had the place to ourselves but I bet it’s a blast with a big group or over multiple days. There’s a big fire pit and fully stocked kitchen. Joe’s super chill and his dogs are very...

Joe was a wonderful host. We had a last minute change of plans and arrived early. We reached Joe by phone and he helped us get set up with a much needed shower! His 3 dogs are so sweet. Beautiful canyon to enjoy a short walk away!

The property itself is secluded and the way Joe has laid out the camp spots, RV’s provides privacy as well as a great community area.

We loved it. It is totally off the grid but there is a solar shower and solar lights. And it is more of a community gathering type place with a big fire pit and a out door kitchen area with a hippy type feel to it. The camp host is totally...

Loved the remote location, that it is dog friendly, and that Joe, the owner, is flexible, friendly, and very accommodating. The location is lovely and the camper I stayed in has a funky rustic vibe I love that the facility is off grid.

This place is a charming little oasis in the heart of Utah, conveniently located near several national parks. Joe, the site keeper, was incredibly kind and accommodating. Despite our late arrival after a long day of travel, he waited to personally...

Joe traveled, worked and studied abroad throughout many different countries in the world and spent years in the southwest traveling and working as a construction manager and as a tour guide. He speaks multiple languages due to his travels and spent years collecting all the materials to build this campsite. He also spent years clearing deadwood and brush With the help of many different friends to make the area accessible and appealing to those who want to walk and enjoy the wilderness while Glamping. Joe lives in the house next-door and is very accessible to guests via phone text or in person as needed and loves to spend time with his guests around the fire at nights.

Property info

Indian Canyon Ranch is a completely off grid property located 2 miles off the highway down dirt roads. Our address is 67 Brushy Terrace, When you turn off the highway on Long Canyon go for about 1 mile, make a right on Brushy Terrace which is a rougher road, go for another mile until you pass Indian Canyon Road (it gets a little rough down a short hill) make a left in the first driveway and you will be here. Pull up in front of the blue house and you’ll be taken to the site. Please be prepared for a bumpy road and during rain or snow conditions four-wheel-drive may be necessary. It is ALWAYS best to show up before dark to make it easier to find us and your unit. We are 100% off grid so the shower is SOLAR HEATED and will not be hot on cloudy days or after dark. Also the units are not heated but plenty of blankets are provided. Joe purchased this property in 2008. At that time it was 8 acres it is currently now at 20 acres continuous property. The ranch is situated 2 miles off the highway on the edge of the vast national forest, areas this gives you a feeling of being in the wilderness. The south and east sides are boarded by canyons and ruins. All other properties in the area or 10 acres or more so are well spread out and sparsely populated. All the structures on site were brought here piece by piece and were salvaged from construction projects in Yosemite and Grand Canyon national parks. Water is manually hauled in so please be conscious of water use.

Neighborhood info

Nest in a secluded section of the American Southwest with Native American artifacts in the soils outside and walking distance from Indian ruins nearby. Community Area: -Outdoor Shower SOLAR HEATED *Solar hot water -Dry toilet -Fire pit-Kitchenette -2 beds* blankets/linens included BUT NO HEAT Please don't book unless you have read the complete listing. 2 miles down a BUMPY dirt road, not recommended for sports cars or low clearance vehicles. Please be aware that during rain or snow conditions four-wheel-drive may be necessary. The road may sound discouraging but we are off grid, very secluded and proud of it, it’s worth the drive. 2 miles down a dirt road, not recommended for compact or sports cars but is easily doable if you go slow and avoid the bigger bumps. See you here soon!!!
