It's not Kerrville, itself, that draws visitors. It's a quaint, very friendly town, with solid country charm, but really it's just a place to stay while you enjoy the scenery, the festival, or tour other hill country sites. You won't see grandeous, historic cathedrals or courthouses, but they do have antiques and knick-knack stores and such for the ladies, and Hill country folk are just the best!

We were only there for one day (two nights), but got a chance to drive around the old town area while we were there.
We had several restaurants on our radar and tried Del Norte for a great breakfast on Sunday, Billy Genes for a perfect dinner with a river view, and Rio Rancho Cafe for breakfast on our way out. We highly recommend all three. I you like fresh tamales, be sure to stop at Rio Rancho. They make everything in-house, and they know what they are doing!! It was hard to make our choices! My fav detail...they serve breakfast all day.

Alots to do in the area we mostly went there for rock hounding and for the rock festival, you can also find lanonite there to if you watch the videos on YouTube how to find it, the food in the area is very cheap compared to where I live too and really good, so definitely a great place to visit so much to do there.

We were happy to know we would get our regular room #118, but when we got there, we were told "NO, you'll be in room #119. So, we went in the room and the TV was not working, HOT water was not available for a shower & the heater was not functioning either. Then to top it off the manager stated there were no other CLEAN rooms available, are you serious man?

The Coming of the King Sculpture Garden was main attraction for me. The walk along the river near the River Trail Cottages was great - friendly and safe. Access available from the Schreiner University is good to know for other visitors. Nice campus and trail.
It is centrally located. We were able to walk down to the river for sunset. Then over to Mamacita’s for incredible Mexican food. There is so much to do and see right there. We were going to sample the pastry shop next door but ran out of time. 😀
Inside, the cottage is super cute. We loved the decor and comfortable bed. Thank you for making our stay in Kerrville so special.
Joan, the lady running breakfast, was magnificent. She was cooking, restocking, and cleaning constantly and the breakfast area was spotless. There was a good variety of breakfast options available. The entire hotel was clean and the staff wore masks.
The location is a bit out of the small town of Kerrville. All of the local hotels were full, so I thought I would try this place. It's at the very end of a long and winding road. The road has no street lights. It can be a bit tricky to find.
The Hotel is a little old & tired but the staff were friendly and room was clean and functional. Added bonus was guest washer/dryer, (much appreciated when traveling). The pool was a great relief during the heatwave.
This is one of the best B & B that I have stayed at. They treat you like family and take care of you. The place is so amazing and beautiful. We would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area.
There was plenty of lighting so you feel secure. The staff, especially front desk, were very helpful and friendly. The hotel facilities and the grounds were all very clean!
