We booked the king deluxe suite and you would expect it to be a very nice, updated room- especially for $152/night. The room smelled extremely musty and old; it’s the first thing you notice when you open the door. The bathroom is also very dated which isn’t a dealbreaker, however the toilet seat was in poor condition and the counter for the sink was extremely low. I’m 4 months pregnant and it was hard for me to brush my teeth and wash my face. The AC unit the room wasn’t very powerful- we had to turn the AC to the coldest temperature and keep it on a continuous fan and the room was still hot. I love that the tv had cable, however the channels constantly cut in and out. Also the wifi signal was very poor. Breakfast was included with our price, but there wasn’t any breakfast like you’d expect. There was coffee and juice which was great but other than that all the was provided for “breakfast” was granola bars. Overall disappointed in the condition of the facility for the price point we paid.

The bed was big and comfortable! And the hotel is very close to dining and Colonial Williamsburg!

Room had an adjoining kitchenette, very noisy refrigerator and on the other side of wall there must have been a kitchenette too, All sorts of noises of microwave beeping, doors slamming at 4:00 in the morning, so the room was not quiet, even though the hotel did not look very full, should have separated the rooms from noisy neighbors. They advertised free breakfast, but all there was, was stale coffee and a package of muffins available.

- Weekend day staff was not terribly friendly and had a bit of a "tone" and "attitude". - 2nd floor hallway smelled of stale cigarette smoke throughout our stay - GROSS! Room 216: - missing hairdryer - was immediately replaced (seems they get stolen all the time) - no ability to close off the tub so I could take a bath - staff immediately provided a solution - only 1 spoon and 1 bowl in kitchen - everything in the room and kitchen clean with the exception of the freezer - there was something under the carpet that was higher than the rest of the floor so we kept tripping on it - VERY unhappy with the sheets and blankets on the bed. We had a king size bed but the bed covers were full size. Clearly that is 2 sizes too small so the staff made the bed by putting the top sheet and comforter on horizontally. That may have solved the problem of reaching the sides but they did not come up beyond our upper arms so we were not covered. We remade the bed to put the sheet/comforter on the right way but then had to sleep in the center of the bed to be covered from side-to-side. The property needs to get king-sized sheets to fit the bed!!!!!

- Staff upon arrival on Friday evening, December 17th, was extremely friendly and helpful. And when we had questions or issues, they immediately took care of things, and did so with a smile and can-do attitude. Most appreciated! - nice towels

The room was in much need of some serious maintenance. Apparently there was a leak of some sort. Curtains, roof, carpet had visible water stains and damage. Floor uneven, shower curtain filthy and bed pillows smelled and were stained.

Room needed some series remodeling. Curtains were stained, dishes weren't the cleanest but easy to rewash. The carpets were in rough shape but not horrible. Saw 2 roaches in room too. Also dining room table had joint debris on table and kitchen floor was super sticky. Pool was closed and no housekeeping.

Staff was kind and helpful. Location was very good too.
