I was pleased with the accommodations as well as the amenities despite not getting to use them all. I also like the fact that after a rocky start to our stay the hotel staff was able to rebound and go above and beyond to help make our stay memorable.

The staff at the front desk was absolutely marvelous. They went above and beyond and it was greatly appreciated. The valet attend was also very attentive. We eat at the restaurant and appreciated the recommendations the waitress provided. This made our stay very relaxing.

Hotel Ella is in a beautiful mansion with porch and pillars. Still, it is very centrally located (10 min walk from UT Campus). I was lucky to have a room in the main building (I'm sure the other buildings are nice, too, but it just felt special to be in the mansion). The room was spacious enough, features a spacious closet, and the bathroom with the huge shower was amazing. Thanks to the weather I was able to sit on the porch with a complimentary cup of coffee. I had breakfast four times, and everything was delicious. I highly recommend the crab cakes. Service was very professional and friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Great location and good 1st visual impression in the lovely old building. Our room however was in the modern extension and was pretty small & grotty facing a wall. Quick chat with very helpful staff & we had a much nicer room with little outside area leading straight onto the pool area which was a little oasis. Very comfortable bed, traditional feel of hotel in the old mansion which made it feel more like a private club than a hotel. If the weather had been fine/warm, the wrap around verandah would have been wonderful and the pool area looked nice as well. Charming staff.
