I’m not sure what the bad reviews are all about! my family stayed here (2 adults/ 2 kids) for a long weekend and had a wonderful experience. stayed in a 2 double bed room facing the lake. room was clean and beds comfortable. it was perfect for what our family was looking for. we aren’t fancy just need clean!!! the kids loved the lake and sand area and canoes. I would definitely come again without hesitation. perfect location with walking distance to the cute downtown area.

We enjoyed the quietness of the lodge, the water fountain was beautiful to look at and we enjoyed the canoe. The beds were super comfortable. We also enjoyed the walk to the local restaurants and shops. It is just a cute little town! We also loved being so close to other areas to explore, especially the Pisgah National Forrest.

We loved everything about Mill House Lodge. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were treated like family. Our room was exceptionally clean. The kids loved fishing from the private beach and canoeing. We are definitely making this a yearly vacation spot, but hope to frequent more often!
