The hotel is beautiful and sparkling clean! Every staff person we encountered was extremely friendly - always with a smile and a hello. The beds were super comfy and our room was spacious. Our room had a Nespresso coffee machine which made delicious frothy coffee - I think I might need one for home now! The views from the lobby and outdoor patio areas are wonderful. Huge expanse of Monterey bay views and a group of sea otters and their pups living in the kelp just off shore of the hotel! The location is perfect. It’s an easy walk to Fisherman’s Wharf and an even easier walk to the shops and restaurants around Cannery Row.
United States of AmericaI normally don't splurge on hotels but because it was a special occasion I decided to and am so glad I did. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. EVERY staff member I interacted with down to each valet driver was professional and friendly, making it feel like a luxury experience. Definitely pay for upgraded views-I requested a partial ocean view which was lovely and quiet. I liked that I could call valet to have my car ready for me by the time I got down to the door.

The main reason I marked it as lower value is that it was quite expensive for 1 night, and it was just a plain hotel.. nothing really that made it seem "extra" and worth the price. BUT it was comfortable and a great location. Fantastic restaurant on site and every staff member from valet to restaurant staff was lovely and very helpful.

The only place that was open was in the hotel for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All the meals we had there were excellent! We will definitely be coming back. Thank you. Richard Borish

The views (and the otter families around the hotel) are amazing, it is just walking distance to the Pier, the Aquarium and downtown. The rooms are large, the beds comfortable, the bathrooms clean. We ordered room service which was really super good and had a nice, enjoyable breakfast in the small and sunny breakfast room. Nice terrace, good coffee. We have absolutely nothing to complain about.
