Eugene is a college town, and we chose to go on road trips instead of staying in town. If there are games going on, it can be quite hectic to try and get around the city. There are covered bridges to go and see in Cottage Grove, as well as waterfalls and other hikes to partake in in Cottage Grove and outside Eugene.

I will never go to Eugene in the winter again! So cold! And the rain never stopped for our entire stay. And the day we had planned to leave, I-5 was expected to be closed over Siskiyou Pass due to snow and high winds. We left a day early and drove home via the long route, over to 101 and then down the coast. Temp never got above 45 degrees and the rain never stopped, but at least we didn't have to deal with snow. If you need to go to Oregon, schedule it for the summer when it is actually quite pleasant.

It was good to tour the campus although we were there for a wedding. It was sad to see the homeless on the streets. Other than football and sports, I don't know what anyone would do on vacation. A trip to the winery was fun. Eugene is not for us.

Classic college town with a clear progressive and liberal tilt.
The scent of pot being smoke was not uncommon.
The city streets were CLEAN and there were very walkable sidewalks on most city streets.
I saw signs of a concerted public assistance to homeless populations rather than the constant conflict between the haves and the have-nots in Seattle.
I only spent one day but I would have liked to spend more to explore its nooks and crannies.

My family always loves staying in Eugene.
My family always loves staying in Eugene. We travel to the Ducks football games around three to four times at least every season. My family enjoys the location of the Hayward Inn because it is the perfect location for sporting events and amazing restaurants. We love the walk to Autzen Stadium from the hotel as well.

There are too many places to visit to list but we visited the the Knights Arena for the Toto and Journey Concert and it was a blast. The malls are always full of great shops. Downtown during the summer has Saturday markets that are so fun to visit sorry that it was the wrong time of year for us to visit. 5th street Market and Oakstreet Mall are always a favorite.
This is an older home remodeled with newly painted and decorated rooms. It is kind of a combination hostel and Hotel with a shared kitchen and living area. We had a king room with a private bath for a very reasonable price and the bed was super comfortable. The Riverpath Inn located in a hip area with lots of eating options, breweries, etc. so very convenient location. We will definitely stay there again next time we’re in Eugene.
The location is great, across the university, walking distance to restaurants, Starbucks, and supermarket. Breakfast would be great (compared to other similar hotels) with 4 hot items to choose from and other options, BUT these items were consistently missing. Furniture in the room was comfortable. It could be a really great place, if the staff took care of it properly but they don't...
I knew it would be just a small Continental breakfast, do wish they had a little bit more. But I came prepared. The room was nice, very comfortable and quiet. Plenty of parking and good restaurants in the area. Close option for going out to the airport the next morning. Very nice front desk staff. Thanks
Room has super small bathroom/toiler area, pillows hard, floor without carpet and felt dirty to feet, only 2 cups of coffee provided, couch dirty and I wouldn’t sit on it. Room smelled of smoke even though advertised as non smoking, room smelled of urine or it was right near laundry room.
This is quite simply the best motel I have stayed in. The friendly owners went out of their way to sort out a ground floor room for my wife, who uses crutches. The room was spotless and had recently been fitted out with a brand new bathroom......oh, and it was excellent value for money.
Improving all the time. Budget is great value for money for the area. Needed to get a room for friends going to medical appointment and Budget does the job so well! Clean and remodeled! Staff is very nice and helped me with card requirement concern, very kind!
Very nice room, extremely clean, comfortable bed, convenient location - can walk to many restaurants. No coffee machine in room but there is a Starbucks a short walk from the hotel. All in all a comfortable place to stay in downtown Eugene.
Location is great-- I run the trails by the river. The rooms are new and cool. The value is great. They are good to my hound. And the breakfast service offers many options. The Maverick Hotel is doing it right. This is a good place!
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Clean room. Comfortable beds. New bathroom with nice shower and amenities. Great location, easy to walk to good restaurants and stores in Eugene. Better than expected complimentary breakfast.
The room was very clean. I appreciate that the hotel rates were reasonable unlike others in the area for this particular weekend. The staff was very polite and helpful in merging my reservations.
The location, room, breakfast and Sky Bar all exceeded our expectations. The food at the Sky Bar was outstanding. This is the best hotel I have ever experienced. Would definitely go back.
The room was much larger than other hotels we have stayed at. The staff was friendly and the location was close enough to quickly drive back into Eugene to walk to Autzen Stadium
The breakfast had more choices than other breakfast included hotels. The dining area was kept sparkling clean and was large enough to provide ample space for breakfast dining.
Enjoyed two nights at Signature Eugene. The location makes it convenient to the centre of town and also to many newer restaurants, coffee, and craft beer locales.
