Southold was a really cute town, have been through before.
Southold was a really cute town, have been through before. Greenport is very close by, with many restaurant options available. -- The Halyard, The Frisky Oyster and Crazy Beans were a few of the places we visited. However, if you are lucky enough to meet Taylor (at the Shoals) she has some wonderful ideas and options for you to try.

Southold is my home town and was a wonderful place to grow up. Southold has retained the great qualities that made it such a great place 40-50 years ago, and the growth of the wine industry since the 1970's has really enhanced the scenery and agricultural economy. The North Folk has always been more middle class than the expensive Hamptons on the South Fork, with a more diverse population and attractive local small town charm. In 2040 Southold celebrates 400 years since its founding by the first English settlers on Long Island. I hope on that anniversary the town still has the beautiful, relaxing, affordable equality of the last 380 years, and Southold does not become yet another gentrified 21st century summer resort for the 1% rich!

The Southold beach hotel is located across the street from the Long Island sound. The location is beautiful. Southold is a wonderful village and community. The room was modern and just right. The bed was comfortable and there was a nice couch to watch TV on. The room has a nice sized refrigerator and a Keurig coffee maker.
Thank you Colin for being an accommodating host. He even upgraded our room at no charge.
The hotel is nicely designed. Little touches like a heater in the bathroom were good. Nice towels. As advertised the breakfast is standard continental, cold cereals, some not great pastries, etc. Good coffee though! Lovely views of Peconic Bay from the breakfast area. Rooms are spacious and have a kind of mini-kitchen so good for families. They give you passes for the beaches, and towels, which is great.
This was like staying at your grandmothers home. Flo and Janine were amazing. It was the most relaxing, quiet beautiful place to unwind after a great day. The location is perfectly located to the wineries and Greenport. Can’t wait to go back
Cozy, charming, great vibe, very welcoming- the apartment exceeded our expectations. Beach pass a big plus. Great location.
Mona & Mark are excellent hosts, very congenial & knowledgeable on the area. Would Definitely recommend.
Beautifully renovated hotel located on the water. The service was great. Cute gift shop in the boutique. Continental breakfast was small but satisfying. We will definitely be returning! Cannot wait!
