It's very difficult to figure out where to go to play in the snow & parking is a nightmare wherever you go. Traffic is bad. The casinos don't even try to entertain you or tease you. The slots just take your money without even stringing you along. The slots totally sucked, especially compared to Indian casinos & that includes all the casinos in South Lake, as well as North Lake.

Wow, haven't been to South Lake Tahoe in about 6-8 years and what a HUGE difference. It's become more commercialized and not as "homey" as it once felt. A lot of the older establishments are out of business with new stuff and construction taking over. The mom and pop restaurants we went to were pretty bad. It's gone down for charm, but up for convenience. Great groceries. Whole Foods, Safeway, Grocery Outlet... few bakeries, but we were shocked at the prices. $4.25 for a bear claw pastry! Still, it's beautiful and still worth the trip. Heavenly ski resort now requires reservations for parking on the weekends. They charge for cars with less than 3 people.

S. Lake Tahoe is fine for those seeking to shop, visit casino, night life however if you want to get away from the crowds and experience nature you are better off finding accommodations on the North side of the lake.

The location is great and close to stores and beach.
The location is great and close to stores and beach. They allowed pet in the area as well and the area is very quiet and safe. The only this we don’t like is no rug for the bathroom and the entrance door. They put a white towel instead. And the window or vinyl were dusty. Overall we love the place and we had a great stay. I would recommend this to family and friends.

I would strongly recommend not going there!
I would strongly recommend not going there! None of my requests were followed through on. Asked for ground floor unit as I am disabled. Ended up on third floor. When trying to get help with luggage checking in & checking out staff were not available. At checkout time they had a staff meeting and no one was at the desk. The heater didn't work and I froze the first night. Bedroom was upstairs and I cannot use stairs which I had told them. So I had to sleep on the couch. No one said there was a bear on the property so me and my service dog's safety was jeopardized! DO NOT GO THERE.

We enjoyed the house very much.
We enjoyed the house very much. Everyone took a turn at the pool table. A nice dining table let us all eat meals together. And the place was big enough to allow everyone privacy as well. Comfortable furnishings throughout.

Compared to a lot of the other local motels in the area this is a better option. Our family stayed here in the past, & the rooms were very dated, but it has since been remodeled. Location is convenient, walking distance to Heavenly, & casinos. They also have passes for a nearby beach (which is also walkable)for $5 per person per day. The beach usually charges $25 per person. The staff is friendly.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. Clean bathroom and spacious queen bed.
The position is just perfect, being really in Downtown South Lake Tahoe. 50m from main street and 10' walking from Nevada border.
The staff was very helpful and nice, suggesting places where I could have breakfast or dinner.
I would definitely come back and stay again
The location was perfect! There are a lot of things to do within walking distance. Staff was very accommodating and welcoming upon arrival and throughout our stay. Property was very clean and well maintained. There are so many choices in South Lake Tahoe and when I come back I know where I will be staying..... The Elet Hotel!
Nice hotel just across the street from the lake shore. Perfect location! Nice, large, clean bedroom. I stayed in a room in the back building, facing the parking lot and the woods - it was ok for me, but if you want the lake view be sure to book the appropriate room! Easy check in and check out. Easy parking.
I picked this hotel for my bday trip, since it was a 5hr drive we did ask if we could check in early. When we arrived they checked us in with no charge. This alone made it a 5 star. Also its walking distance from anything like Gondola/casino. Theres like 30 electric scooters if you would like to rent.
The jacuzzi was amazing MacDuff's pub right next door was the best food and drinks ever and it was right across the street from the lake which was covered in snow and beautiful we ubered to the casinos for $12 what a deal we had such a great weekend would recommend this hotel to anybody
Really clean, updated rooms. The main thing I want in a hotel is for it to feel cleanly. Out of all the hotels I stayed at on my road trip (there were 7) this was by far the best price and the most clean feeling, which was surprising because I stayed in hotels that were 3x as much.
Terrible hotel and terrible service. We went there in the winter and the heater was not working. They first refuse to change the room and told us to wait if the heater will be warmer. It didn’t. Later the property manager was not on the premises and let us wait to change the room.
Súper fun amenities! Brewery downstairs as well as a coffee shop. Great place to communicate with others. The lake is at close distance and the casinos as well. The beds were extremely comfortable and I believe they’re new. Clean hotel throughout!
Great room with a "fireplace" for atmosphere. Communication with hotel via booking.com and text messages with quick replys. An online checkin and deposit has to be made before entering the room is possible. The lake is within walking distance.
We stay in Tahoe a lot since we live so close. Generally we spend $300 -400 a night at other hotels. This one was cleaner and renovated more then these expensive places. Well worth the price. Located really close casinos and shopping.
