This bell tent is on flat, open, terrain and is just steps away from old Pony Express buildings from the 1800's. Explore nearby Petrified Forest National Park, Painted Desert, Meteor Crater, and Indian Ruins. Amenities include a ready to use bell tent with full size mattress, two pillows, and bed sheets. Also includes a cozy hammock and a port-john (outhouse toilet). Bring plenty of water for drinking and hand washing; there is no running water on site. You are welcome to bring your own ATV, RV, Camper, Truck, pets, and camping gear. Generators are allowed.
My family taught me a great appreciation for nature and the outdoors from a very early age. I love it all: hiking, camping, fishing, star-gazing, swimming, sight seeing, visiting landmarks, and just about everything else you can do outdoors. Starlight Tent is a unique camping experience as you are in a wide-open field with very few structures nearby. The canopy of stars is amazing at night. If you are looking for a private, quiet, place to unwind, and a desire to view beautiful sunrises and sunsets, this location is for you!
The neighborhood is vastly open terrain, but if you want to get items from the local convenience store/gift shop, you need only drive about 2.3 miles. Across from the convenience store is a one-of-a-kind Knife Outlet that has the largest assortment of quality knives that I have ever seen. You can pay to shower at TA (Travel Store) in Holbrook about 12 miles away. Of course, the main attractions to this area are the Painted Desert and Petrified National Forest, Meteor Crater, and Homolovi State Park (Indian Ruins).
