The hotel was close to a harbor we needed.

The hotel was close to a harbor we needed. We were double charged on 2 credit cards and they refused to make corrections. Insisted it was not true. We booked 2 rooms, next to each other but only 1 came through. After getting the 2nd room we found the rooms had not been cleaned and had to switch rooms which were clean. Beds were uncomfortable with sagging in the middle. Breakfast was decent and available from 5am- 9 am. We would not recommend going there.

    liked everything about Ticonderoga.

liked everything about Ticonderoga. Demonstrations were great. View of Lake was super. Beautiful King's gardens. Great cafe that had delicious food and a great souvenir shop. Plenty of places to rest after walking or standing. Museums were fantastic. Loved it and would go again.

Many years ago I had been to the fort.

Many years ago I had been to the fort. Since the last time the entrance was much more built up. It is mostly a reconstruction but its history is interesting and location stunning. I was a little concerned when I read that they had living history demonstrations as I have had a few bad experiences with these presentations in the past; i.e. Disnified costumes and participants with a shallow knowledge of the time they were depicting. At Ticonderoga the opposite was true. Those representing different skills utilized in fort life during different periods of the fort's existence were historians deeply committed to presenting authentic skills and information. During our visit the focus was 1758 and all items and information reflected that specific year. Incredible.

    Cute little Hamlet.

Cute little Hamlet. Home of an authentic set of the TV show Star Trek. Close to the Falls and Fort Ticonderoga. Close enough to Crown Point to go see the ruins there. The Wagon Wheel restaurant was very good. So Was Emeralds.

I love the drive coming from north I-87 exit 28 to Ti, Eagle Lake is pretty and quite a few pull offs for hiking trails and fishing areas. As you drive into Ticonderoga the view of the Green Mountains of Vermont behind the town is breathtaking. Also Route 22 from Ti headed towards Whitehall is also very scenic. For those who love history Fort Ti is a well known historic place. I haven't been there in years but it's very interesting and would like to go back someday.

This hotel is an absolute dump. Piles of dirt/dust in the lobby. Looks like it has not been vacuumed in 5 year. Filthy, smells rotten, room was a dump, slept in my clothes to prevent touching anything. Woman at the front desk looks like a crack addict. I have never stayed in a worse hotel in my 62 years of life. An absolute dump.

Price was right and convenient to Fort Ticonderoga. We received a phone call about the water heater being broken and were offered free cancellation or a discount on our room. Some things are just beyond management's control.

The staff stood out the most and they was friendly and kind. The hotel is set back enough from the road, so it was fairly quiet. It was nice not to have carpet in the room.

The room was clean and there was a nice grassy area around the hotel. The staff was kind and friendly and of course the price is a bargain in the area!
