United States of AmericaFront office staff was STELLAR!!!! The room was one of the best hotel rooms we have stayed at on a 6 week cross country trip. Very large, very clean, very comfortable bed (my husband loved lounging on the couch in the room). We called down for ice at one point and no less than 5 minutes later the gentleman that checked us in personally brought us our ice. Out of probably 35 hotels we stayed at in the last 6 weeks, the Thompson was BY FAR the most professional and attentive service.
United States of AmericaThe Thompson is my favorite place to stay in Chicago but unfortunately this time my friend fell and we spent over 12 hours in the ER so we did not get to spend the night like planned. We had to cancel for the next day and fly back home. Unfortunately, we did not sleep at the hotel but it’s my favorite place and everybody was very helpful when we came back to pick our luggage out.
United States of Americawe have been staying at The Thompson for years. I have tried many, many hotels in Chicago and I can actually sleep at the Thompson. It is nestled in a location where the city noise is at a minimum. The bar atmosphere is really cool and the drinks are top notch. The location is perfect. we had dinner with our son at Gibson’s and the next day had lunch at Fig & Olive. Our last morning we ran across the street before heading to the airport for pancakes!
