The idea was nice but the reality was far from it. I contracted COVID several days before I was to travel and they would not allow me to cancel my reservations. I guess they wanted me to show up and contaminate the premises so the rest of the guests and staff would be exposed to COVID.

T or C is run down and the original township and older spa facilities are rough. The southern interstate 25 exit is not existent and coming in from the north there is construction along the main street to down town

T or C is a run down almost dilapidated small desert town barely surviving. Most of the Hotsprings are remnants of the 1950’s that have not been properly preserved. That being said I still visit about once a year.

This is an old town, trying to revitalize itself. We were only there for one night. Definitely do the soaking in the mineral baths! You will come away revitalized and relaxed. My husband loved the Truth or Consequences Brewing Co. for the quality beers and the food ordered from a separate restaurant was superb (though it took an hour to get our order). There are several little nick-knack stores that could be fun to shop in and also several massage therapists for those seeking a good massage or specialty treatments. Finally, Elephant Butte Lake is very close by for those who love boating/fishing.

We did not know what to expect for our visit and had added it to our itinerary last minute due to the fires north. What we found was a quirky, quiet main strip full of art galleries, and vintage shops. Dinner options were slightly wonky, but there is a Walmart Super Center driving distance from the main street where we could pick up food to prepare in our room.
We arrived in time to see the art walk or festival and found it fun and delightful. The galleries were all open, there were musicians performing on the street, and even some performance art going on.
Our main morning found us exploring the town on foot where we walked to breakfast and enjoyed delicious coffee and crepes at Passion Pie.
Someday we will return for a visit, and hopefully we will get a chance to soak in those mineral springs!

T or C is the gateway to the outdoor recreation areas on the Rio Grande. This hotel is near the exit from the freeway, there are many restaurants and a Tesla Supercharger which allows this place to be both a good stopping off point and a destination in itself.

Advertise breakfast on website but their was only cereal and yogurt. No coffee until one of the guest went to the back and brought out a pot of coffee.Bathtub drained very slow and my husband almost slipped because of the soap scum in the tub. When I first went into the hotel the desk clerk seemed to be sleeping and stated he had been up two nights gaming. I was never sure of the price because on the website it was one price the desk clerk quoted us 149 when we got the bill it was182.
We loved the property! It is such an original space and the artwork is amazing! Staying here was a great experience for our group because it allowed us to be together and not spread out in a traditional hotel. We couldn’t believe how big the space was. The property manager was very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
Pelican Spa is a great place to visit if you want to enjoy the benefits of the hot springs. The water has many minerals that can have healing properties. Truth or Consequences is such a charming little town that deserves a visit and Pelican Spa is a great place to enjoy your visit.
The manager is very nice, her son is very helpful and is always ready to assist. The hotel is about two- three miles from downtown - where you can enjoy the hot springs. I really enjoyed River Bend. Wal-mart super center and gas stations close by.
Cool place with nice decoration. Felt nice to experience something outside the sterile chain hotels. Everything one could want, comfy bed, towels, etc. Owner was nice and spent time going over things to do in T or C. I will definitely stay again.
The desk clerk was wonderful as she took a great deal of time trying to figure out why booking.com never forwarded my information and thus I was left without a room as the hotel was full when I arrived.
The spa and massage experiences were fabulous. And, your breakfast is always tasty. I'll be back with girlfriends when the road repairs in town are completed.
The room was a cute retro room with a full kitchen. The bathroom was neat and the bed was comfortable. I loved the hot springs and how private everything was.
The bright colors in the photographs and quirky decor are what initially attracted us to this hotel. We thought it would be fun to stay somewhere local.
