Nice city.
Nice city. Comparing to Samarkand Bukhara is smaller and main sightseeing spot are concentrated in the old city center so it's easy to see everything in 1-2 days. I would recommend to hire local guide and just relax walking via old Bukhara streets.

It was a unique experience & was like to set foot into the history of Central Asia. Several centuries of South Asia’s history starts from Bukhara, Samarkand & Tashkent. So, obviously this trip into the past was very exciting! Every building, monument in the city reminded us of their past glory & the great Mughals! From Chengis Khan, to Amir Taimur, Iban Batuta et all had set foot on this holy land. The city should get more prominence amongst the historians & tourists alike! Being nearest to India with 1.4 billion population & it’s really cheap value for money accommodation & delicious food will attract hoards of visitors. But before that more flight options & more English speaking young Uzbeks are the real necessity! We would love to travel many more times in the future. Long live Uzbeks! Long live Uzbekistan!

The old city is fabulous despite a lot of straight face tourists and despite the Coca Pepsi everywhere. Uzbekistan make a very bad deal with the capitalists. Most of the cars are Chevrolet. North American are changing the habits of the Uzbeks as well o many countries around the world. Yankees go home. Yankees go to hell

This is the most historically-focused town in Uzbekistan I have seen so far. The historical center is small, everything is in the neighborhood and very picturesque. Friendly locals, a lot to see and enjoy. Highly recommended!

I was not expecting that Bukhara will be a fascinating place to visit. Lots of historical places, architecture to visit. Great place to bargain as well. Food are so cheap and getting to places are easy especially if you download their taxi application.
Locals are very friendly.
My stay at Komil Bukhara Boutique Hotel was absolutely great 🇺🇿. I have chosen this hotel due to the beautiful decorations and mosaics. Each room has a different theme, and the owner is very warm and professional, allowing me to tour the facility. The hotel appears to be the top choice among visitors to Bukhara since it is also listed on many tour companies' itineraries. Excellent location, close to the city's main attractions by foot. The personnel were very professional and courteous.
This family-run guesthouse is just amazing. The owner always has a smile on her face and is super friendly and interested. She did everything to make our stay just perfect. We even got treated with cold juice and watermelon when it was very hot outside.
The breakfast is the best we have had so far in Uzbekistan. It varies every day and contained fresh homemade food and fruits - so delicious!
Thanks a bunch for the wonderful stay! We enjoyed our time a lot and will come back one day.
Very nice hotel, so cozy and compact, everything is very clean and everything is tasteful. The photos match, a very intelligent administrator, he helped in everything and it was a pleasure to communicate with him. if we go to Bukhara again, we will definitely stop there. the hotel is right in the center, went out and immediately got to the sights, cafes, etc. in Bukhara, by the way, breakfast is the tastiest and cheaper (were also in Samarkand, Khiva and Tashkent).
EVERYTHING!
The room just stunning, Uzbek’s style but with all the comfort.
the staff very nice and helpful for everything, they helped us a lot with different stuff.
We also enjoyed the city tour with the guide.
last morning we had to live really early and they prepared a take away breakfast for us.
we booked another room for the last night and they allow us to leave the luggage at the hotel for a couple oof days.
Best place where I slept in Uzbekistan .
This hotel is spotlessly clean and has absolutely superb decor. It is very beautifully done. There are nice patios to sit. The room was modern and bright. The breakfast was really, really good quality compared to most places we stayed in Uzbekistan. The staff are very friendly and proactive and really very nice. The hotel is relatively new. It is in very handy location right next to everything but in a street behind so it is quiet.
Al Hayat is a new hotel, but their service is just perfect. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and the hotel staffs were friendly and welcoming. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. Late check out was available and the breakfast was also fantastic.
+ Very clean room
+ Very clean bathroom (Not every hotel in Uzbekistan provides it!)
+ Very nice staffs
+ Very good breakfast (The variation changes everyday
The hotel is overrated, I preferred the boutique hotels in Uzbekistan. The breakfast is overpriced you can eat for less in the center and the staff at the reception is not friendly. The only ones who where kind were Timur and Mohamed.
The Spa is overpriced for the service. I have had an complete hammam treatment but the hamam room was not clean and the lady who did my treatment was not friendly. I don’t recommend the hotel.
The hotel staff was very friendly, although the daytime receptionists could not speak English. That problem was solvable with a translation app though. The location of the hotel is pretty good, on the edge of the old city, and quite close to my favorite restaurant in the city, Chalet Bukhara, where I had five quite tasty meals in my four days in Bukhara. The room itself was cozy and quiet, so good for sleeping.
The staff was supernice and very helpful, the breakfast truly delicious and bountiful. The room was spacious and comfortable (although, as everywhere in Uzbekistan, you should not expect a functional window). The hotel is one step removed from the central square of the Old Town, 10-15 minutes walk to Minorai Kalon and the Ark citadel, so very convenient to return after a day's tour.
That was a beautiful stay with ShoniShin Boutique Hotel in Bukhara. The Room is spotless and very comfortable
Reception is 24-hour helpful and friendly staff Breakfast amazing coffee machine works nicely there is Uzbek traditional
food and organic fruits best hotel ever definitely I will come back to this hotel again, special thanks to Mr. Jahangir, Mr. Haydar
Brand new room and facilities in an excellent part of town managed by a very nice family. Havas guest house exceeded all my expectations in every way and was the best place I stayed at in all of Uzbekistan. I'll definitely look to stay here when I come back to Bukhara and you won't regret booking here so just do it.
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel very much. It was a great location and food was very good at the restaurant where we had both breakfast and dinner. Hotel staff was also very helpful. Arranged PCR test at the hotel and gave us late checkout. It is a bit expensive considering it’s in Uzbekistan but it was worth it.
Lovely hotel in the center of Bukhara located in a historic building, you feel like you are in an ancient world. The hotel Is very well curated, especially the common patio and the rooms are high-end (keeping in mind that you are in rural Uzbekistan). The breakfast is fantastic and served at the patio.
The location was good, kalon mosque is 10 minutes walk, but either way Bukhara is small. The room was clean, they also cleaned the room while i was there, out of the three hotels i stayed in Uzbekistan it was the only one that did it, the stuff was kind and helped me arrange a taxi
The best place I have stayed in Üzbekistan. The hotel is new, the rooms are large, comfortable, extremely clean and fancy with artistic decoration. The location is superconvenient. The owners are hospitable and genuinely friendly. I strongly recommend this place to everyone❤️.
I honestly like the design of the hotel. Very comtemporary and modern touch specially for the interior. Once you get into the hotel, you are disconnected from the whole neighborhood. The breakfast was very good, and the restaurant as well.
Too often i give top marks to good hotels but this is one that it should be reserved for. Absolute stunning restoration of an old madrasah done to highest of standards. Add amazing service and have property truly deserving of top marks
Small family run guest house, very nice hosts, had tea coffee whenever we asked for, had great pilaf. One
of the biggest advantages is that you can communicate in English,, not very common in Uzbekistan. Highly recommended.
