Situated along the coastline of Mekong River within the Can Tho province, just about 3 km from Phong Dien floating market and 9km from Cai Rang floating market, Mekong Rustic Cần Thơ is surrounded by Vam Xang lush orchards, is accessible by car, big coach and boat cruising along the Can Tho river. The idea of Mekong Rustic Cần Thơ, as its name may appeal, was initiated as an authentic rustic accommodation for visitors who wish to completely leave behind the hustle and bustle of the big cities. All the materials (such as brick, recycled wood and wooden products) used for each and every 18 private bungalows are well-combined to create a rural yet relaxing atmosphere towards the idea of an eco property surrounding with tropical fruit gardens. Living with the locals, visitor may join in with the host family and local tour guide to immerse in the local lifestyle with such activities: gardening, cooking, rowing in a sampan along the canals under the green canopy of water coconuts trees or retreat themselves by lying on a hammock with the favorite book in a privately peaceful quietness. I graduated in travel & hospitality in National university in 2001 and working in hospitality and travel for 5 year before starting up Active Travel Asia with two friends and was running the adventure tours in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. Then, I was a partners of Indochina sails - The five star junks in Halong Bay to manage the marketing and product team from 2008 to 2013. In the end of 2014, I decided to launch the first Mekong Rustic in Tan Phong Island in Cai Be, Tien Giang under the brand name of Mekong Rustic Cai Be and in the middle of 2017, we co-operated with our friend to open new Mekong Rustic in Can Tho with 12 beautiful and authentic bungalows.

The local Vietnamese people are always happy to guide you on how to cook and create many authentic and regional dishes. Fishing In the Mekong Delta Region people use unique and unusual methods of fishing. One fun type of fishing that you can experience firsthand is Is "fish slapping." Wade into the narrow and shallow mud filled water ditch where fish must pass thru. Set up your net and slap the water driving the fish into the net. You can also try your hand at bamboo basket fishing or even catching fish by hand. The local people will help guide you thru each unique and exciting fishing adventure. Afterwards, you can enjoy cooking and eating your fresh catch! Gardening The Mekong Rustic is famous for its lush mango, rambutan, grapefruit, orange and bell plum gardens.
