This small hotel (and Kormakitis in general) was a complete surprise to us as we were expecting a traditional Turkish village environment. The history and culture of this place is unique. The restoration of the property has been extremely well done and our host Angelica was very welcoming, helpful and informative. We spent a very pleasant evening over dinner in front of a roaring log fire listening to the history and struggles of this small Maronite Christian community in this very remote corner of Cyprus. The food was good and so was the wine and the company.

My experience at Hanna Koumi was boutique was an exceptional. Angelika lives up to everything in the hotel description and it motivated by love, passion, and hospitality. The food was amazing, the beds were comfortable, the free Wi-Fi was a blessing, and the conversations with Angelika were very thoughtful. Angelika even went out of her way to give me tours of different areas of Northern Cyprus. This experience has made me want to return!

Frankly, we liked everything about the place - especially the kind and warm welcome from Angelica, her husband, Marios, and meeting members of her family. Immediately we felt as though among friends. The surrounding countryside is stunning and the location peaceful. We also had breakfast and dinner and they were excellent. Hanna Koumi Boutique is the epitome of what a boutique hotel should be - really wonderful rooms, each with their own unique design; brilliant, stylish, airy and comfortable. We've now stayed in many 'boutique' hotels but cannot think of one that is -or has - been better or more rewarding.

This is a truly peaceful, welcoming, family-run hotel on the main street through Kormakitis. Angeliki really makes the extra effort to accommodate guests and inform them about the history and culture of the village. The food was fantastic and very fresh and rustic - olives with every meal, freshly toasted village bread with dinner - and the hotel has a well equipped outside bar with everything you could want. The rooms are very special: since it's a converted farmhouse which originally dates to the 16th century, the walls are made of distinctive stone with a fireplace. Everything is amazingly clean. The location is ideal for exploring the village on foot for the churches, traditional architecture and children's playground plus by car going to the beach and nearby towns - Kormakitis is about halfway between Kyrenia and Morphou, so it's very easy to explore the area.

The owners Angeliki and Marios were amazing. They were so friendly, welcoming and informative. They really couldn't do enough for us during our stay. The hotel itself is beautiful and wonderfully renovated. The home made evening meal was delicious, breakfast was simple but traditional. Marios took us for a tour around the village and local area, during this time we visited a local bread maker and saw bread being cooked in the traditional Cypriot way. We later had this bread to eat for breakfast. The hotel itself is off the 'beaten track' and away from the main tourist areas. It is unique in its location and the history of the village is fascinating.
