We where attended by the owners with great customer service and very helpful and accommodating. They went beyond the call for service. Central location within walking distance from several excellent eateries. There was ample complimentary Coffee and tee. The choice of decorations and furniture is modern country style.

  • Good morning, Your accommodation looks great, but we simply must have 4 single beds - 4 elderly ladies traveling together and we don't do double beds! Is there any way you can accommodate us? Dr Joan Clarke
    Good day Joan Thank you for your enquiry. Unfortunately, our double beds can not be split into single beds. I am not sure if you want to use the bigger room for two ladies and then one lady in each of the other rooms? Regards Janine

Welcome to Over Karoo Inn. May you enjoy the peace and quiet, breathing fresh mountain air, being woken up by birdsong and roosters instead of an alarm clock. Take a break from your devices and instead listen to the birds chirping in the garden and enjoy the mountain views. You get the chance to enjoy the space, peace and freedom from stressful everyday life. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, or sip on a glass of wine while enjoying your break on your private patio. Rooms have been decorated with hand-painted wood and carefully selected pieces of furniture found in and around the Overberg and the Karoo.
Our friendly host Schalk enjoys meeting new guests and welcoming them in Barrydale. He will ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Barrydale is a quirky village with plenty of arty vibey people right on the border between the Klein Karoo and the Overberg. It's a place to slow down for a moment in time, forget about news and TV and enjoy the fresh mountain air. A variety of restaurants and shops are available within walking distance in a safe and secure environment.
