The owner made us feel at home with exceptional hospitality. She hand picked flowers from the farm to give to my mother for her 50th birthday. The views, the accommodation, the facilities and everything else was amazing! Definitely under rated! Do yourself a favor and book here for your next stay in Franschhoek, even the toilet had a stunner view!

Situated in the most beautiful area, this eco-friendly cottage had everything we needed. Walking distance from a river and a beautiful jogging route with mountains all around. Jules' instructions before the stay were clear and easy to follow, and we received a friendly welcome upon arrival.

We loved everything and wish we’d stayed longer. Perfect for our family trip. We had a braai every evening with beautiful views of the surrounding hills. Easy to get taxi / Uber to take us into town or to winerys. Yoga was excellent and morning river swims were a treat.

we spent only 1 night as a family of 4 (young children) and it was beyond anything we could have hoped for. directions seemed complicated but were actually very easy once en route. The cottages are beautifully styled and decorated with everything you might need - towels, bath products, tea and coffee and we even had a delicious loaf of bread with freshly laid eggs for breakfast, staff were super helpful - including bringing us some butter, cheese and jam to add to our breakfast - and the pool and playground were perfect for the children to burn off some energy. our stay exceeded our expectations and I would 100% stay again - just wish we had been able to stay longer as it is a stunningly beautiful peaceful haven.

The cottages are beautiful and beds very comfy. There was bread, milk and eggs in the kitchen for us. Nice fire pit area with amazing views. Outdoor bathroom was a nice addition. Parking was easy and plenty of room for kids to explore the garden. Kitchen had everything we needed.

    Bring your roads and tackle as our beautiful Berg River has fish, bass carp and occasionally trout for strictly catch and release fishing.

THE FARMSTEAD - Natures orchestra surrounds you, listen. Its in the wind, rain and river as it gurgles past. Listen, it’s in the silence of the sun and the moon, the owls and the cows too. Hear this orchestra inviting you within our Earth of connection. A forgotten land, back, share our journey of growing a Farmstead. WHERE GOOD THINGS GROW - Full equipped and ready for you with kitchen, linen, furnishings, outside fireplaces, En-suite and outside bathrooms to bath under the stars. Verandas to sit, paths to walk, children to explore, yoga to downward dog, cows to moo, mountains to gaze, and if you want food in a basket on your doorstep.
Moved our growing family onto the farm in 2017. A forgotten piece of land which found us and inspired us to live closer to the earth and nature. We have started to build a farmstead and share our journey by renovating some old cottages next to a magnificent river.
The immediate farm offers extensive natural vegetation and farm walks for all ages. Franschhoek, Stellenbosch and the surrounding area, offers magnificent restaurants and wine farms, walking, cycling and many other outdoor activities.
