nice and spacey beautiful colored room. friendly host (hope your ribs are healing). good breakfast, bacon, eggs, cereals, fruit...close to ADDO when checking out staff discovered a forgotten cellphone. it was friendly handed over before opening the gate, THANX!

Die Anlage liegt etwas außerhalb des Ortes Kirkwood in eindrucksvoller Umgebung und ist selbst sehr schön angelegt. Alle Zimmer blicken auf den Garten mit Pool. Beim ausgeprochen leckeren Frühstück sitzt man mit schöner Aussicht auf der Terrasse. Die Betten waren sehr gemütlich. Es gibt eine Selbstbedienungs-Bar (Wasser, Bier, Wein...) zu fairen Preisen. Die ansprechend gestalteten Gemeinschaftsräume laden zum abendlichen Verweilen ein.

De mooie, smaakvol ingerichte kamers liggen aan een leuk aangelegde tuin met zwembad. Fijne bedden en een mooie en ruime inloopdouche (badkamer en slaapkamer is één ruimte). De lodge ligt net even buiten Kirkwood op 30-35 minuten rijden van Addo Elephant NP. Je krijgt je ontbijt lekker buiten op de veranda. (Ongeveer een uur rijden vanaf het vliegveld van Port Elizabeth)

This modern 4-star guest lodge is near Addo Elephant National Park in Kirkwood in the Greater Addo area, north of Port Elizabeth at the end of Garden Route and Route 62.

The air conditioned double rooms come with private bathrooms.
In addition to a swimming pool and sun deck, there is a shaded terrace and an indigenous garden, surrounded by lemon trees and overlooking Addo Park Rietberg Mountains.

눉I was initially booked for three nights and charged by the owner for those 3 nights. I changed my booking from three nights to one well before the cancellation cut off period. This was confirmed by Booking.com. When I checked in I confirmed this with the staff (who were unaware of the change in booking) and we spoke to the owner when checking out. He assured us he would take it up with Booking.com and refund us the two nights (about R2000). I still haven't received my money (3 weeks later) and the owner is not responding to my correspondence. Absolutely disgusted by this shocking behaviour which is essentially theft.

눉The rooms look nice but need new plumbing, the shower made everything wet except me. taps came loose, noise from a pump next to the window... overall a bit shabby state, clean up, it can become a great sleepover!

눉An experience at an establishment is always measured by the small stuff. No milk for coffee, no adapter for their hair dryer, bed rather old and held up on blocks of wood, sound travelled between rooms due to the type of ceiling (shadecloth), cups were not cleaned each day, kettle cord was too short so it had to stand on the floor. This establishment is rated as a 4 star but I would battle to give it 2.
