loved the location and staff. The tent was amazing, game drivers were very nice and food was delicious. Giraffes and elephants we right in front of the terrace. Can highly recommend.

What. A. Place. Forget all your commercial factoryrun lodges. Hesitant at first, but pleased once arrives: Muweti Bush Lodge is a product of love. Laura and Mike will go above and beyond, yet give you your space to enjoy in peace and quiet. Amazing pool, huge in comparison to many other lodges. The food is delicious and only surpassed by the sheer quantity! Big eaters are welcomed here! Mike is like an uncle that loves sharing his passion about wildlife, and when a lion roars during desert, he will jump up and drive you out for a quick drive. This is passion first, business second. Be warned, you might fall in love of the place!

Good location, the Reserve is wonderful, proximity to the Kruger and shops is great. Owner and Manager really friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, professional. It seemed like its guaranteed to see Elephant herds and Giraffes between the Gate and the Lodge

The hospitality at Muweti Bush Lodge is above the ordinary! The owners Mike & Laura and also our guide Hardus warmly welcomed us and allowed us to spend two days with great meals, interesting talks and new adventures.

Not applicable as we stayed at self catering villa.

There’s not a thing we did not like. We were greeted by our host Mike who’s so friendly and welcoming. It’s safe, the housekeeping staff was friendly, we had a small private pool, we woke up to the sound of animals outside our cottage, went on a drive with Hardus the guide who was an absolute gem and so kind. We had an amazing time. An exceptional stay.

Excellent location, right in the middle of the wild. All types of large and small game wander past and you really feel far away from any “real world distractions“. We were looked after by Hardus the whole time and he made our stay there more special by going the extra mile. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a wild bush break.

Staff was great, good private tour guides, in the middle of the park, had a barbecue with a lion close to us - real bush atmosphere

The lodge is an excellent place to have a safari experience. Mike and Laura are great hosts, the food is amazing and the place is really beautiful. Perfect place to relax in the pool during the day and enjoy the sunset and sunrise game drives. Highly recommended.

Laura, Mike, Hardus and the entire team really made our stay worthwhile. They are super passionate about Muweti as well as the animals and vegetation surrounding it. The Chalets provide for everything you would need out there and the hosts pay attention even to the little things e.g. always plenty of fresh drinking water and adapters for the power outlets (we never had to ask for anything). The game drives were amazing. Knowing that you will be exploring nature made getting up early in the morning super easy. Hardus and Mike were super well connected with other guides and received updates for animals such as lions or elephants all the time and will get you there asap. The food was amazingly delicious and always more than enough. All in all, this is highly recommended and worth every single Rand. Thanks so much again to the Muweti team!

- Kunnen we in juli beter een self catering cottage huren of is een tentlodge ook warm genoeg in de nacht. We have not had complaints about the tented chalets being too cold; in any event we do provide extra blankets during the winter. But of course it depends on the individual. Some people feel the cold more than others. Obviously if you book the self catering cottage it will be on a self catering basis. We cannot provide meals for the cottage if we have guests at the main lodge.Answered on 6 February 2020
- Do you have bush walks as well?We organise bush walks but through 3rd party guides. Bush walks are NOT part of the package and are an EXTRA. Should you wish to book a bush walk you need to do so WELL in advance as the guides are not always available. Also if you wish to book please do so separately after you have made you booking.Answered on 9 December 2019

- Hi, for self catering guests, how much does it cost for game drive? What animals are there? ThanksFor now the cost is R450 per person per game drive. There is never any guarantees of seeing anything but we have, amongst others, Lions, elephant, buffalo, leopard, hippo, and a host of general game. I hope this helps.Answered on 5 January 2022
