Marie is the most helpfu and attentive hostess I have ever encountered in SA.

Location, location, and location. So convenient to walk to Mount Nelson hotel for afternoon tea, the Company’s Park, various museums and galleries, and best Cape Town restaurants. The French style breakfast in high quality ingredients (100% juice, delicious chocolate croissant, sour dough bread) are a huge bonus. The place is simplistically decorated with cottage elegance. Manager speaks fluent French and English and is super nice and helpful. The check in at 1pm and check out 11am is a total of two more available hours than all the other B&B or guest houses I have stayed in SA.

It was our second stay and we will come back! Nice atmosphere, delicious breakfast (fresh croissants, fresh fruit salad, cheese, cold meat etc.). The rooms are a little small but cosy and clean. The owner and her team are very helpful and make you feel as though you were staying with friends.

Marie was fantastic. Great checking in process and in touch via Whatsapp to help. They had great bar/restaurant advice, in particular in the local area which is really cool with funky coffee bars / tapas places with local young professionals. Very cool area.

Lovely guesthouse nestled in the heart of Gardens. The owner and staff were lovely and very helpful. The guesthouse is nice and quiet, overlooking a garden on one side, and a terrace on the other. It's a beautiful old Cape Town townhouse, a 4 minute walk from Kloof st and from de Waal Park.

My journey was delayed and in result I lost my night at no5 Guesthouse as I got to Cape Town early in the morning but they were so friendly and they let me use the room and stay a bit extra, so I could have a shower and catch a little bit of sleep before my long flight home! The place was clean and lovely with a great breakfast!

  • We are a group of 5 adults - 4 of us will stay 5 nights from 1st to 6th Jan 2022, but one person will stay only 2 nights 1st-3rd Jan. Can I make 2 separate but concurrent bookings, one for the 4 people for 5 nights and another for one person for 2 nights?

    Quite available. Week-ends are quite busy because we are very close of Kloof Street, but apart from that there is always a place.
