Stately old home with grand proportions and large rooms

This was the third time we had stayed there but this time we had the Bismarck Suite so the only thing we liked were the staff who went out of their way to be helpful (especially Chris on reception and Fidel on the gate) and the breakfast which was excellent.

The location is good and the staff are excellent - that's really what makes the place. As were there in winter one could not use the pool and were confined to the hotel. We enjoyed the lounge with its fireplace and bar. Some of the bathroom facilities would benefit from updating and the windows rattle in the wind - but this is an old stately home so this is to be expected.

I like everything about Palm House. From the gate till the last cleaner. They are just marvellous.

We liked the Olde World shabby charm - just like us. We so enjoyed the breakfast but why did you hide the fact online that you could serve lunch and dinner? You scored a full house for location because we were attending the Wynberg Boys High School Sports Festival so maybe you should not read too much into this. Location is a very subjective topic.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Hotel food was good (morning and evening), great Don Pedro's ! Pool felt like it was our own when relaxing in the hotel grounds, on-site parking a bonus.
