The breakfast and dinners plus the pool and the location !!! 5 stars
United States of AmericaWe enjoyed the room and the fact that it was directly connected to The Marc and we could shop with out having to go outside the hotel to get to The Marc. Breakfast was over-priced for what we received, so we had breakfast outside of the hotel for the rest of our stay. The location was central and very close to Sandton City. The Shuttle service worked very well for us.

This was our first return to South Africa since Covid. for over 10 years we have made the Balalaika our preferred place to stay, but this time we had to be elsewhere for a workshop where we were involved. but before we started this, we chose to spend time at the Balalaika and we are glad we did. when we were advised not to leave the other hotel’s site due to security concerns, we especially appreciated what the Balalaika offers us in Sandton, where we can comfortably walk around the area - and look forward to returning

We requested early check in and were accommodated within 2 hours of our very early morning arrival. We did not eat in the hotel. The hotel allowed us to shower in the gym as we arrived as no room was available for a couple of hours.
