The location was perfect for our daily activities, and the mountain around the property gives a nice view together with the garden. The down stream river sounds amazing and the private waterfall was exceptional and special. Oh and not forgetting the braai facility and swimming pool (just what we needed to make our stay awesome).

Perfect 10, Perfect 10. We and our pup enjoyed every moment of it and Sabi Star will definitely see us again. Its officially our go-to destination for Mpumalanga. Staff are extremely welcoming and even our pup was called a "Guest". Scenery and cottages are beautiful, perfect between the mountains with the river not far from us and a lot of space to sit and picnic!

The property is absolutely amazing. Our room was beautiful, the views are incredible, and everyone there was so so kind and helpful. They really went above and beyond to make this a special place to stay on our honeymoon- our stay wasn't nearly long enough. We would recommend it to anyone!

  • Does the stove have an oven?
    It depends on the unit. The smaller units generally have a 2 plate stove or hob. Some of the bigger untis do have stoves with ovens. Best is when you book ask us for a unit with a oven. Regards Shawne

    2 Sleeper units - either studio or one bedroom. 4 Sleeper units - one bedroom with a double bed and 2 single beds in the living area. 6 Sleeper units have two bedrooms, double bed in first, two singles in second, set of bunk beds in lounge

  • can we hold a birthday celebration for an adult?
    We actively discourage and prohibit any noise on the premises as the majority of our guests are seeking a tranquil and peaceful getaway. Sabie Star is not a place for partying, music or other activities which are loud and intrusive.
