The Riebeek West House is a unique little cottage in the scenic and outstanding Riebeek Valley. Home to vineyards, olive plantations, fabulous hiking and biking trails, scenic mountain views, great restaurants and some amazing wines - you cannot go wrong with booking a stay at The Riebeek West House. You will find a blend of antique, vintage and modern pieces that create a unique atmosphere. These are pieces I collected from a long time ago - near and dear to my heart, so please take care of them in your stay. A lovely garden comes with a braai area, a fantastic outdoor table and chairs. Here you can relax under the olive tree in the shade with a good book or a glass of wine. The open plan kitchen dining and living area have wonderful antique and vintage pieces of furniture which are unique and lovely to look at. In the bedroom you will find a comfortable double bed, antique chest of drawers, a vintage luggage table and a mirrored wardrobe. The bathroom is en-suite with shower, ceramic and mosaic tiled basin and toilet. There is no wifi or tv - just wine, walks, talks and birds *breathe in, relax and enjoy the Valley
Hello and thank you for looking at my gorgeous little house - The Riebeek West House. I am Pauline - South African born and bred. I love to host people at my home in both South Africa as well as in London and you will often find me with a glass of wine in hand making some amazing food. I work as a personal trainer and massage therapist and I am a wine lover and food lover, hence my home has a beautiful gas stover and large counter spaces and beautiful fridge. Things I cannot live without - coffee, chocolate, bread and wine. The Riebeek Valley is home - the mountains are there for the running, the fresh air is fantastic and most importantly, people are amazing! I am always available for questions and suggestions to make your stay fantastic!
Riebeek West is nestled in the historic and very picturesque Riebeek Valley. Quiet, quaint, peaceful, Riebeek West is a 5 min drive from Riebeek Kasteel, a 15 min jog or a 30 min walk. From hiking, biking, wine tasting, olive tasting, - The Riebeek Valley has it all. In close proximity you will find Pulpit Rock, Allesverloren, Het Vlock Kasteel, The Olive Boutique, Cafe Felix, Kloovenburg etc. In Kasteel you will find a fantastic selection of wine boutiques, the fantastic Royal Hotel, great restaurants and quaint coffee shops. An ideal would begin with a short hike up to The Riebeek West sign on the mountain side to stretch the legs and appreciate the view of the valley, followed by a quick coffee & breakfast at Angies Coffee Shop, before heading into Kasteel to have a look at King Olaf for terrific antique and vintage items, followed by lunch at Cafe Felix or a wine tasting at Kloovenburg with its beautiful terrace under oak trees. Further afield and a good drive you will find Malmsbury, Tulbagh, Ceres and Mooresburg. These are towns just waiting for your visit. The Riebeek Valley You will love it!
