Durbanville is a great community of very lovely wine farms and a town nearby. Delightful bustling restaurants and shopping. the wine farms are exceptional and the food served is brilliant. Favourite places to eat Bossa and La Romantica in Meerendal and Cassia at Nitida wine farm also.
we hired a car and managed to get around with a vodacom sim card which we didnt buy at airport (more expensive) if you there for a week or more and use whatsapp and facebook get 4gb or more. we found being from overseas it was easiest this way. Always check when you landing to collection of vehicles at car hire airport. other favourite resto was Damhuis in Melkbosrand wow incredible and also Onse huisie for breakfast on the sea. i would avoid school holidays as it is too busy then

As a first time it was interesting. The view of the mountains was amazing. The situation of the hotel was lovely, being close to the hospital. Very restful. Maybe a list of shops and map of where they are situated would help.

We ate at Tigers Milk, pricey but food was good. Went to Tyger mall, that's a 2 day trip! only walked around the top part the down stairs is for another day.
We booked accomodation 10 minutes away, parking easy and seemed safe. One ways a little difficult and getting in the right lane nor always easy.

Durbanville is in the heart of the city with many malls and restaurants all around you but at the same time if you stay at a resort like Ruslamere then its almost the best of 2 worlds - peace tranquility but only 5 min away from buzzing city malls and shops

The mountain bike trails at the various wine farms in the vicinity have been so appealing. Unfortunately my stay was for pre-hospital admission, so I didn't have time to explore all the nuances of Durbanville.

my favourite place was the Speak easy pub.
my favourite place was the Speak easy pub. But they play music much too load now we met up with friends one night but had to go elsewhere because we could not hear each other talking So why they still call it a Speakeasy I dont know. I found plenty of good restaurants and the shopping is very good
I paid for the room, and then the receptionist took me to the room. Upon entry, there was a weird muggy smell. I opened the windows to see if it would work but no. I also tried opening the AC, to which the remote was nowhere to be found. Additionally, the hotel had told us that they were working on electricity those days that power might not work, which was another deal breaker since both my friend and I needed to work. After these issues, we decided to cancel the room, and I'm still waiting for a refund.
The Blue Cottage at the African Palm Cottage and Guest House is well-proportioned and comfortable. The patio area outdoors is the perfect place to enjoy a meal and a glass of wine on a warm evening. The pool area is beautiful and feels like you’re in a jungle. The property is exceptionally well located for anyone wanting to visit the Durbanville wine route, and it’s a great location for reaching a variety of other wine regions - 40-45 minutes or so from both Stellenbosch, Paarl and Constantia.
The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The room was huge, well decorated and had a lovely big bath tub. The staff were absolutely incredible. I unfortunately didn't get either of their names but the ladies at the front desk were so helpful, polite and made our day. They helped us out when our flight was delayed. We got some complimentary wine with the room and generally had a lovely experience. The restaurants were also really good. Would 1000% recommend a stay here.
Although there are always small improvements possible (room keys that look like toys, or sound insulation not always at the top...), the Petit Chateau is really a nice place. What matters is the comfort, cleanliness, hospitality and human qualities of the hosts, and you can find all this in "le Petit Chateau". In addition, the area is very well located, close to the center of Durbanville. So we recommend this place!
I have been nil per mouth since the previous evening at 10h00 as I stayed at Columbine Place based on the proximity to the Durbanville Mediclinic. Theatre has been booked for 08h00 on 22nd June. The geographical positioning lends itself to hospital patients prior to admission, but also for their family to stay over. The setting is away from street noise.
So, I cannot rate breakfast.
Excellent accommodation in the heart of Durbanville, Cape Town. The 3 of us stayed for 20 nights. Lovely and clean. Super comfy beds. Great kitchen amenities. Courtesy tea, coffee and milk particularly appreciated throughout our stay. Lovely big bathroom. Equipped for load shedding - emergency lighting and gas hob. Thank you for our comfortable stay!
Columbine Place in Durbanville is a hidden gem! The apartment is tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you need. Its location near the De Ville Shopping Centre is convenient for all your shopping needs. The peaceful secluded garden. I had a wonderful short stay and highly recommend it!
The service was excellent. The manager was the best at accommodating me and my group. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting downtown
We absolutely loved staying at Anna Beulah. It was a real treat for my children to feed the animals and be in such close proximity of them. Just a short drive to Cape Town. Next time we will definitely stay longer!!
The rooms are clean and spacious. The executive suite, is the best. Coffee station, is refilled daily. The rooms are cleaned daily.
Will definitely booked our accommodation with them, then ever in Cape Town area.
Location was great as it was near our family who live in Durbanville. Property was very clean and the A/C worked very well. Staff were friendly, pool was nice although was a little green rather than blue
The location of the property is great with a nice neighborhood and close proximity to the Tyger Valley Mall and other areas of Durbanville. Heidi is an excellent host!!
Amazing location, right in the centre of Durbanville. easy check in process & the apartment was very spacious & well furnished with aircon for the hot summer days.
