*Off-grid - no loadshedding!* 'The Bush Box', only a 5-minute drive from the gate of the South Luangwa National Park, and a stones throw from the main 'town' of Mfuwe. It was lovingly built to offer great comfort with a high attention to detail throughout the house. Relax on the expansive outdoor veranda and watch the wildlife drink from the waterhole in front of the house, take a dip in the plunge pool or enjoy the magnificent sunset views from the roof deck.

I live in Cape Town, however we always have someone nearby should you need assistance. There is a housekeeper (Esnart) on the property during the day who can assist you with your requests. There is also a night-time security guard on duty from 5pm until 6am. I am on hand to assist with booking of hire vehicles, private guides, chefs and even waiters/butlers during your stay. We can also help with shopping prior to your arrival, so that the house is stocked to your liking and you can make the most of your time in the bush.

The Bush Box is situated in a Game Management Area (GMA). Therefore, wild animals roam freely around the house during both day and night. It is very common to see elephant, hippo and buffalo on a daily basis as well as a variety of other 'general game'. The unfenced South Luangwa National Park is just a few minutes drive away from the house. The Bush Box is only 35 minute drive from Mfuwe International Airport. The nearby town of Mfuwe offers local restaurants, shops, petrol station and cash withdrawal facilities. Car hire options are available in Mfuwe, including both standard vehicles as well as open game viewing vehicles. Bicycles are also available but guests are advised to cycle at their own risk due to the prevalence of wild animals in the area.
