“Pleasant and quiet-a bit far from the CBD but pretty good value given the overflow of tourists.”

Location a bit out of the CBD but if you were downtown, the price would have been quite a bit higher.

Excellent staff. Very good room. Given tourist overflow, the price wasn't bad but still high. Parking exceptional. Also, given I like the odd beer and glass of wine very good prices particularly during happy hour.

Friendly helpful staff and relaxed atmosphere. Not too big as to be inpersonable

We liked the friendly staff, the very nice breakfast withe many options. Also did not have today for parking. It is located 5 minutes from downtown and we liked not being in the thick of partying. Loved the sundries in the room also.

Wish we were a bit closer to center of Reykjavik but it didn’t stop us from walking and enjoying the city.

Very comfortable snd welcoming. Free coffee/tea in beautiful lobby. They upgraded us to bigger rooms.

The staff where friendly, accommodating, the building was clean, good location and great breakfast selection. Good base for joining small and larger tours of Iceland. Went to Iceland during summer, the blackout curtains were good enough not to use an eye cover. Pre-warned about sulphur smell in some hotels showers (Volcanic Spring water), no issue in Eyja. Overall a great place to stay.

Breakfast was a little chaotic and full when we went. Hard to get around the tables and access the buffet which kept running out of food and we had to wait for refills. Food good

The staff were perfect, food was brilliant the rooms were perfect for us and the whole ethos of the hotel was excellent. It is a 10 minute walk to the main centre of the city which did not bother us as you simply walk right along the Main Street all the way.

    I can't think of anything.

Booking suggested this hotel as the one we had booked cancelled our reservation just one hour before check-in! We really appreciated booking's suggestion as they offered us the chance to stay in a great hotel the last day of our trip. The mattress and pillows were perfect. Amenities in the bathroom were top notch (they are available for purchase in the lobby). The decoration was in balinese style. We really liked it although it was a little out of place. There is a gym we didn't use. There is complimentary coffee and tea available in the lobby all day with various plant-based milks. Breakfast was very good. The staff were friendly. I'd like to specially mention the guy in the kitchen (from Moldova) who went above and beyond to serve us.

Need slightly better black out curtains (gaps at bottom and where the curtains meet)

Lovely stay at Eyja for our mini-moon, the staff went above and beyond for us to have a comfortable short stay (including a bottle of prosecco in the room!). Well decorated, comfortable and nice toiletries. We enjoyed the bar area as well.
