“Very central, but they could do A LOT MORE out of it!”

This is a youth hotel, more of a hostel than a hotel, but at the price of a "real" hotel... The rooms are sparsely furnished, no pictures, not very comfy (we had a family room). But all of this still acceptable, however: The doors and windows are outdated and my elderly mother with carpal tunnel syndrome in der hands couldn't open the first one, so they gave us another room, shich was OK. The (young) staff was nice and helping. Please be careful when unloading on the street in front of the hotel in the restricted parking area - an overzealous "Stasi neighbor" of the hotel is handing out fines...! Not the hotel's fault, but they know it and could have warned us perhaps... However, the best point about this hotel was the location: in a few steps you are at the Oslo town hall - or at the Oslo opera! It couldn't be more central. Nevertheless: They could do MUCH MORE with this hotel, which is a bit of a shame. Staff: 4*, Location: 5*, Amenities: 2*.

Outlets for foreigners. I brought a plug adapter for phone charger but not everyone in my dormitory did and if the hotel had some available that would be super helpful!

I didn't try food. I only slept in the bed for a bit. It's a dormitory so there's other people all around but it was a very nice place. I felt safe and secure there. Eneo at the desk was awesome and gave some great bar recommendations. As a result I had a blast in Oslo. If I come back I will be staying K7.

Didn’t feel like the best hostal in Oslo. From dirty bathrooms, to very old room. My room on the 5th floor felt so old. My roommate said the same and she was also very disappointed. Also the elevator wasn’t working. I had to take my heavy luggage down 5 floors.

The staff is very friendly and kind and the best thing about this hostal is the LOCATION.

I had booked a 'double' room but with twin beds as I was sharing with my son for a family wedding. The hotel confirmed on booking that the beds would be separate but when we arrived, they were pushed together with a double mattress. I reported this to the front desk and was told it would be changed the next day, but it wasn't. I reported it twice more over a 3nt stay and each time I was told that 'housekeeping' had been told to separate the beds but it never happened.

Great location for sightseeing around Oslo and easy train connection for the airport - it's less than 10 mins walk from Oslo Sentrum station

The room was most of the time a little cold, the water leaked out of the shower and the down stairs kitchen was really dirty. (The kitchen where the customer could cook food them selfs). It was also hard to open the door of the room sometimes.

Over all a nice room, and really nice staff. The hotel was based right in the middle of down town so you could walk everywhere which was really nice. It was also really easy to both check in and check out.

The room was really small for 4 people (2 bunk beds). Mattresses were not the cleanest or comfiest.

I think this is okay for a very short stay. Front desk staff were lovely and we liked the older style of the building and the location, we just walked everywhere.

The bottom of our shower in our room wasn't sealed properly so water leaked out from the shower area into the rest of the bathroom area. We had to use towels to sop up the water and create a dam. It was a significant leak. The hotel elevator wasn't functioning properly and I got stuck between floors. I was stuck for about five minutes and there was a little alarm to press and I heard staff acknowledging that I was there and that they'd help. The front desk said they were waiting for parts to come in to repair the elevator but there was no sign in/on the elevator informing guests of the issue and that they could potentially get stuck. The room didn't come with cups or glasses for drinking water. There are no mini fridges in the room either. We bought food and used store-bought ice to keep it cool. The bathroom on our floor for special needs guests could have been cleaner. The floor had a lot of hair.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is excellent--so much is in walking distance. We were able to take the train from the airport and then we were able to just walk around Oslo. I recommend taking a bike tour --it was an excellent way to see the city. The hotel offers breakfast in the mornings for about $14, I think, but we didn't try it. I like that there was an additional bathroom on our floor that is accessible for guests with special needs and it wasn't locked. It was helpful when I really needed to use the bathroom but my friend was already using the one in our room. We had a large bed that we were able to separate into two smaller beds for individual sleeping instead of sharing the large one. I liked this flexibility.

All the showers, the water ran down pretty slowly some of the showers, so it was greasy or full futher down th pipes. Also the showers could be cleaned better, same with the blanket/the bed in general.

Great staff, always willing to help with a smile on their mouth.

Tiny room, barely enough space for both of us to get dressed. The double private en-suite was only €10 more than a bunk in a shared dorm, which we realized later.

The location is great and the shared bathrooms were clean. Good to have a mirror in the room. Lockers in the room (bring your own padlock).
