We went as a group of 3 couples. 2 of the couples rooms were alot bigger than the other with large double sink vanities, large glass walk in shower and bath while the other had small vanity and a shower curtain. We were asked if wanted milk and two of the couples in the bigger rooms received theirs while the other didn't get anything in the smaller room.. There was actually someone Nickers left in the room just under the bed so the room wasn't cleaned or checked properly. I did bring this attention to the staff member who actually didn't even respond. The lunch menu was a bit expensive but also didn't have good options. The portion were small and none of us were full after them and went and grabbed a snacks. Won't stay again and won't recommend it.

    The bed was very comfy

A beautiful boutique hotel with absolutely wonderful staff. When we arrived much earlier than expected, we were given an early check in and when we returned later that week for our second stay we had been upgraded to a suite.

This is a true boutique Hotel, the decor was period excellent, staff were attentive but discrete, food was exceptional and the house bar is very cute. The suite had a large comfy bed and all the amenities were top class.

I didn’t like that there was no view or couldn’t really open a window for fresh air which made me feel a bit claustrophobic.

Very comfy beds, friendly staff and loved the bathroom. Great location too.

    Decor needs refreshing.

This is the best hotel to stay at in the cbd - the rooms are large and it’s a little tired inside now but overall best value in its class.

Well in short we have always stayed over the years right from the start. Last stay in 2020. But its lost its uniqueness . For a boutique hotel ,you don't have that special feeling. Walking in the door, to the reception person staying on the phone, to very average professionalism to a cold, freezing room. The bar person was fine but not warm. The whole hotel has lost that feeling of warmth and exclusiveness. For the price I think you need to offer better everything. There are more boutique hotels in Auckland now which offer more engaging service

    2 complementary drinks .

“Impressively well-presented heritage style hotel, very comfortable stay.”

The fridge was too small. We couldn't to fit in a 750ml sized wine bottle standing up nor a large orange juice. We had to empty out all the minibar items out of the fridge to fit in even basic essentials of our own. Car parking option was a bit tricky to get in and out of. It's understandable that there wasn't space for it, but it would have been nice to have a gym facility.

Spacious facilities, large comfortable bed and a nice separate compact sitting room area with its own chairs, table and TV. Tasteful heritage-inspired decor with a clean and fresh modern-style presentation.
