The bed seems to need replacing as the mattress is deflated.

Delicious breakfast and coffee. The restaurant staff were friendly, even on my birthday they arranged a beautiful cake for me. Thanks to Ha Thu and her friends.

The AC/Heater are really slow (couple hours to really feel it) the sheets / bed covers are really uncomfortable. (Really dry sheets, old bed covers uneven. We personally didn’t had a good sleep any of the 5 nights.

Location is ideal, but be sure to have a room with view on the mountains. It’s clean. The exec lounge is excellent.

“Disappointing and expensive given our experience. But the staff were brilliant.”

Unfortunately the bathroom had a blocked drain and when we drained the spa bath after the first time out children used it the bathroom flooded via the floor drain and the shower drain and leaked out on the the carpet. There was sewer matter in this water! We were moved into new rooms which we appreciated. The heated tiles were off in one of the new rooms which we needed to turn on ourselves. One of the rooms was very cold despite getting a new heater when the original heater did not work (the aircon units were under refurb). There was a power issue and that afternoon we had no power to any of the wall sockets i.e we could not make a cup of tea or use the TV which meant yet another phone call to reception. The tall boy drawers in one room were on a precarious lean forward and the drawers were constantly open (which was a hazard for our young children). There was a lump in the floor into the bathroom along with fraying carpet. There was construction in a number of rooms on our floor and I do acknowledge how quiet these works were, but there was a lot of hazards in the hall way just leaning up against things such as glass table tops, cords etc. There were occasions where we could not get to the lift, there were no signs in the hall and we had to tip toe through the spa lobby in our ski gear to get outside. The hot buffet breakfast items were often cold, although the barista coffee was good and the food from the menu was lovely.

Hands down the stand out of our stay were the fantastic staff. The location was excellent.

There was no great view from the room, but that didn't matter for us.

Being greeted and given a tour was a great touch. Amazingly clean room, lots of space. The TV in the bathroom was a super bonus! Location to town was perfect and the restaurants on site were the best.

everything was perfect. large rooms and luxury bedding and towels. exceptionally well maintained, cosy and spacious. the decor is beautiful. hotel is right in centre of town, valet parking and dry room storage for ski gear made everything easy. the highlight is the staff though. old school hotel service at its best

Construction on level 3 where we stayed and was dust everywhere. Couldn’t sleep in and drilling noises all day.

The only good part about the property was the location.

The decor above the coffee machine in our large room was dusty. Apart from that, everything was spotless.

Close location to the lakefront, only a 5 minute walk that saved us having to find a carport. Wilson's carport is directly behind the Sofitel. Friendly staff that are very accommodating.

our room was next to a noisy elevator, and there was construction noise through the walls. when we complained the only option available was another room next to noisy street or $300 upgrade. we chose to change rooms but no one checked on us during our stay to see how our room was or if we could change to more quiet room, it was noisy. as an aside, the lighting in both rooms was subdued making it difficult to see.

we stay there because of the central location
