Huge bed which was very comfortable. Adequate bathroom facilities. Dinner was very good indeed - a good choice for each course and cooked by a chef who clearly knew how to cook meat to retain succulence. Staff very friendly and efficient. Having driven over 5 hrs in appalling conditions the Royal Oak was like an oasis in the desert!
