We were returning to the UK for the funereal of my mother in law, and wanted to stay somewhere small, welcoming and homely. The Walnut Tree fitted the bill exactly. A lovely roaring fire to sit next to, lovely comfy sofas to relax on, not too many people around us and caring staff. And a good breakfast. We didn’t have other food butt I have eaten there before and it’s excellent.
