The luxurious Apsara is located in Luang Prabang, a 5-minute walk from Wat Xieng Thong Temple. It features a restaurant and elegant non-smoking rooms with modern oriental interiors. Wi-Fi and parking are free.

The staff and managers are so kind and welcoming. The room was comfortable and very clean. The location was perfect- right in the heart of the old town. Though it was incredibly hot while we were visiting in June, being right in the center of town made it easy to return to our room at the hottest parts of the day. We watched the alms giving several times as it was literally a two minute walk to the Main Street. Though the street could be a little noisy with traffic, occasionally, it was never a problem, and in fact it was fun people watching from our ( little) balcony.

The 2 guys at reception are amazing. Super nice, always there to help you from morning to night. Breakfast is cooked just for you and you can choose from 6-7 items on a menu. Hotel is in a charming and quiet little street, 2 min from the Mekong. They rent bikes and scooters. Easy and cheap to have your laundry done by the hotel or by a number of places down the street.

Such a lovely place! The entire staff is so kind and fun to be around. They keep everything very clean. There's tea, coffee, and water refill all the time. Breakfast was delicious and different every day. The wifi was good enough to work and there was plenty of space to hang out. The family dinners were great, too.

This was our first hostel on the trip and we could not wish for better welcome into Laos. Super friendly staff, orginizing dinner for all guests and creating inclusive and fun atmosphare. Room was very cozy and bed comfortable with harder matrace that I really prefare. Best place to meet likeminded travelers and exchange stories, we made to feel like at home. Thank you so much!

We really enjoyed sitting in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner and looking out over the ponds and tropical gardens which are lovely with lots of flowers. The garden is attractively lit in the evening for dinner and the food is very good.

Best bed I've had in this Asian trip, very comfortable. Good hot shower and the chair in the room was great with a reading light next to it. Breakfast was tasty and filling. The hotel is walking distance from most sites with lots of eating options around but far enough out of the centre to escape the noise. The manager and staff were very friendly. It was really nice to have a safe in the room to store things when I went out at night for dinner rather than having to lug them around.

This is probably the best hostel I've ever been to. I felt part of the family from the moment I arrived. They have 'family dinner' 3 times a week, which is great for meeting the other guests. I originally booked 1 night and stayed 12 nights in the end.

The Zen Boutique House is a lovely place to stay the location is great, the staff are very helpful and there is a small but functional pool shared with other guest houses very close by. The room we had was basic but very clean with a comfortable double bed and a great ensuite shower room. I have read other reviews and I am frankly puzzled by the expectations of other travellers who have left negative comments. It’s not the Ritz but it’s amazing value for money.

The owner was incredible. My room was so comfortable and spacious. Met some great people there. Was also able to rent a scooter as it's about a km from the center of town. They had free dinners throughout the week to bring people together and also a free yoga class!

Great location next to the Mekong. Amazing staff - all staff were super friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was fantastic. The breakfast was superb as one can order as many dishes as one likes. The dinners were fabulous. All employees went out of their way to ensure our stay was special, they arranged all our trips at very reasonable prices and they always asked for feedback. We had a marvelous time at this hotel.
