The downtown is very nice and trendy with some nice cafes. But be ready to walk for miles along the side of the road to the hotel if you are not driving through. Amtrak is rumored to be building a new station across the river in NH state, so many of the clothing shops are closing.

I enjoyed checking out the plant beds, koi pond, bird baths and fire pit. The breakfasts were delicious and the common areas were so cozy and very New-England-like. Our room was very clean and comfortable and had all the amenities we wanted. Locally made beverages and snacks were a big plus. The bed was very comfortable. The Crossroads food truck near the property was excellent! The room and bathroom were immaculate. The bedding was so very comfortable. They even had a variety of pillows to suit a variety of needs.
