For a 2 star inn, this was a great deal. Very clear, quiet, safe in a good location for traveling through. Spartan accommodations but for one night just passing through it was great.

The Inn looks very nice and rustic and is only a few miles from downtown. The downtown is very nice and trendy with some nice cafes. But be ready to walk for miles along the side of the road to the hotel if you are not driving through. Amtrak is rumored to be building a new station across the river in NH state, so many of the clothing shops are closing.

Easy to find, friendly staff and clean room. Comfortable bed and awesome cinnamon roll at breakfast. We chose to stay here after being stuck in a snowstorm, and we got the last room thankfully! Great place to spend the night.

Lovely property with such a close proximity to downtown Brattleboro! Great communication, service, breakfast(brûlée grapefruit!french toast with raspberry!) and complimentary VT snacks in room. We made the reservation here originally to be walking distance to a venue we wanted to see a band at, but will absolutely come back due to loving the Inn so much

The Inn Keeper and staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming. The property is spacious and beautiful. I enjoyed checking out the plant beds, koi pond, bird baths and fire pit. The breakfasts were delicious and the common areas were so cozy and very New-England-like. Our room was very clean and comfortable and had all the amenities we wanted. Locally made beverages and snacks were a big plus. The bed was very comfortable. It was an easy walk to downtown Brattleboro.

The owner and staff were all so kind and helpful. The Inn was centrally located. The Crossroads food truck near the property was excellent! The room and bathroom were immaculate. The bedding was so very comfortable. They even had a variety of pillows to suit a variety of needs. We will definitely come back.

The location is perfect for those exploring the vibrant local scene and immersing themselves in the town's unique charm. Every morning, guests are treated to a delicious complimentary breakfast that sets the day's tone. But what stands out the most is the hotel's staff. Their friendliness, eagerness to assist and genuine welcoming nature make every stay memorable and heartwarming.

We were so impressed with this Inn. A wonderful room (seemed to be recently renovated). Clean, comfortable and spacious. Our check in was easy and we got great recommendations for dinner (we chose The Marina which was great). We would stay here again without question! Note: the TV doesn't have a blinding number of stations. Coffee in the room is great. Breakfast is basic but free. .

This place is a gem...found it because we quickly had to leave The Travel Lodge in Brattleboro because it was filthy, dangerous + not what was advertised. I wish I had booked The Black Montain Inn first! Amazing owners, location, comfortable rooms + a pool!
