This is a really attractive hotel, lovely spacious older style room and nicely furnished in period style. Very well equipped, valet parking and reception staff were helpful and friendly. Great place from which to explore Savannah. Close to good restaurants for dinner and breakfast. Very good value. Will stay again when next in Savannah.

Right near to many George Washington University buildings and near The Lincoln, and close to several Smithsonian’s. This hotel is in a DC charming turn of century neighborhood. Whole Foods nearby. We bought the metro card for bus and underground transport and the metro entryway is just down the block. The River Inn staff was very friendly and welcoming! We fully enjoyed our stay.

Our room was huge, the bed super comfortable, and the staff were incredible and were so helpful, with a great knowledge of Savannah and many spot on recommendations. My highlight was having our delicious breakfast on the patio every morning, as well as the complimentary wine & hors d'oeuvre each afternoon. It was so peaceful and relaxing overlooking the park.
