All rooms at the inn are fitted with a seating area, a TV with satellite channels and a private bathroom with free toiletries and a bidet. The rooms will provide guests with a wardrobe and a coffee machine. The host Mayela is very nice and friendly, and was nice practicing my Spanish with her! The property is beautiful and very clean. It has a nice inner courtyard with two palm trees and a spacious, well equipped, and super clean kitchen area.

Place is comfortable and cozy, breakfast was amazing! 🫶🏻
The dinner menu is slightly limited but what they make is very good. The rooms are wonderful and the tub is delightful. Breakfast is good but not a great fan of the buffet.
lovely owner, very thoughtful, comfy bed, big room, pretty inner courtyard
very cozy place. the interior feels almost maze-like with little courtyards full of tropical plants and odd-but-charming decor. room was nice aside from not having a proper reading lamp. the breakfast buffet was one of the best I've ever had, at any hotel – lots of things to choose from both local cr foods and the usual toast etc. the little restaurant next door also had some good dinner options.
Great breakfast with a wide variety of choices. All the front desk staff spoke enough English to communicate if you’re not proficient in Spanish. Fabulous rooftop restaurant if you don’t want to leave the hotel at dinner time.
We had the stunning Bri-Bri room suite, number 2, which was huge with wood throughout, which gave it the feel of a 19th century inn, together with a bar. Staff were very friendly and helpful with great restaurant recommendations. The bed was super king so gave us loads of room. Bathroom had two sinks. It's a quick 10 minutes walk from Central Avenue where you can find the tourist centre.
The place was beautiful both the room and the surrounding, it has a little trail to a beautiful waterfall that it's only accessible from the property. Breakfast was included and we also asked for dinner, both were delicious.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Dunn Inn. We especially appreciated the friendliness and the professionalism of the staff. The complementary breakfast was also tasty. The rooms are simple, but clean and provided everything we needed for our stay.
Leonard (front desk) made us feel at home from the moment we stepped foot on property. He was so kind offered suggestions for car rental return, dinner and answered any questions we had regarding our stay. The hotel was very clean - beds were so comfortable -bathroom is modern with sliding door, with a super powerful shower. Neat out door area on property with a variety of food trucks that would satisfy all of your food cravings.
Very nice owners, warm welcome, very good dinner and breakfast, thank you for the pleasent time. Big garden with lots of wildlife.
El Toucanet is a delightful small hotel in the mountains with rustic cottages and a spacious, beautiful restaurant overlooking a garden. Moises, at the desk, was a gracious and caring host, as was the kitchen staff. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Navigation is a must, as the hotel is about 30 minutes from the Pan American Hwy (Hwy 2) - absolutely worth the effort to get there. The sunny morning at breakfast with windows open and many species of hummingbirds feeding was most memorable.
