Although it's not the most impressive looking accommodation on the island the location and the rooms made it absolutely perfect, the food was great and the staff really welcoming. We hired a scooter for the day from the guest house and explored the island.

The hosts and the staff were super friendly and very helpful to make our short stay in Lake Toba fulfilling. They helped arrange scooter rentals and lended me a large bicycle since the rental bicycles in town are all medium sized. And they provided detailed information on where to go on the island. The food was also great. Breakfast was big and tasty. And dinner seemed like it was home cooked. We mostly ate vegetarian except for grilled fish once which was also excellent.

Hub Tata is a beautifull guest house just at the waterfront of Lake Toba. The rooms are clean and really beautifull. From the veranda you can basically jump into the water. The staff is really friendly and helpful to answer any questions and arrange additional services for you (laundry, scooter, driver, etc). The food is really delicious.

Good location, near many restaurants and boat stop. Very tasty breakfasts and dinners in a hotel restaurant. Great staff too, friendly and helpful!

From the beginning, Franz and Jojor, the owners of Hotel Barbara were so friendly and helpful we felt right at home. We could relax and swim in the lake, paddle board, kayak, rent scooters, or get a wonderful massage by the shore with the gentle breeze coming off the lake. The food was great and the prices were great too! Paradise!

The most relaxing place, with the lake right in front of your room for a morning swim. The food was incredible!! Cute cats and dogs included. The view over the lake is stunning and the rooms are basic but clean and with all that you need. Shower has warm water, too. You can rent scooters through the guest house. We booked bus tickets to Medan airport through the guesthouse as well. A definite recommendation!

Great guest house, delicious food and wonderful staff

The owner was super nice and gave us daily recommendations for bike trips etc and took care about our transport back to Medan. Good and cheap breakfast at Coffee2go (almost in front of Vandus) and amazing cheap dinner at Rosalie's Beer Garden and Restaurant. The view was amazing and the beds super comfy. We would definitely come back any time.

Great location just next to the lake with its own pier. Spacious room with balcony and seaview. Very good breakfast selection which is available the whole day. Dinner was very good as well. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We also made use of the very good laundry service.
