Boasting a garden, terrace and views of garden, Omah Guyub 2 is situated in Jarakan, 7.4 km from Museum Sonobudoyo. Andy and his family wlecomed us not just as guests but as part of their group of friends. They are all musicians and artists, so you get immediatly included in the best circle of people in Yogyakarta. Besides, their suggestions for what to do and see were always spot on. The village where the property is located is famous for its craftsmen, especially potters and basket makers, and there are plenty of wonderful places to see around. The place is a 15 min ride to the city on motorbike (very easy to get a Grab or Gojek for a couple of euros). The houses Andy built are beautiful and confortable, made with old carved wood pieces repurposed from other buildings. If you are interested in a off-turistic experience, I highly recommend staying here.

Featuring a garden and a terrace, Penginapan Kahan is located in Batu, 400 metres from Batu Night Spectacular and 1.4 km from Jatim Park 2. The owner is very polite, helpful and resourceful. The room was large and apparently you can request a fan, even though it's quite cold already. All the utensils you need are available in the kitchen area, with a gas stove and a clean sink.. Anytime I travel solo heading to batu, for sure I will stay at this place. Very recommended
