Indra Valley Inn Bukit Lawang está ubicado en Bukit Lawang y tiene un jardín, terraza, un restaurante y bar. We stayed 5 nights with Obiwan and his crew and were so happy there. The view of the jungle was amazing (frequently we saw monkeys and lizards on the riverside), the beds were comfortable and the food really good for a low price. We did 3 tours with them, which we enjoyed a lot. We were traveling with two little children and the whole staff and guides were really great with them, making the trip for them and us very memorable. We can really recommend the whole package!

Staying at Putra’s ecolodge was genuinely one of the most meaningful travel experiences in my life. From the moment I landed in Medan, everything was perfectly organized, Putra arranged a private driver to take me directly to the lodge, where Putra welcomed me late at night with so much kindness and flexibility. The bungalows are simple yet perfect: comfortable beds, deep sleep, surrounded by jungle green. Waking up to hornbills, monkeys, and endless birdsong felt magical. The location is really convenient, close enough to Bukit Lawang (20 minutes’ scenic walk through jungle and villages), yet quiet, calm, and connected to nature. Putra and his family make you feel at home. His wife’s cooking is full of love, and their restaurant is a beautiful open space to relax or work. I joined a one-night trek with Putra and his team, where we saw incredible wildlife, learned so much from his deep respect for the forest, and laughed so much thanks to his team’s humour and warmth. This place is affordable, authentic, and overflowing with heart (met some incredible travellers here too). The whole experience goes above and beyond... Thank you so much Putra and team, I am forever grateful and cannot recommend this place enough. I will definitely be back 🥹

Toris and his family are lovely, we had a wonderful stay and it was hard to leave! The accommodation is on the beach, the setting is heavenly, Toris offers surfboards to rent and surf lessons! We ate really well and we were even able to cook sometimes too. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable, I recommend without hesitation and I would like to return with pleasure!

The staff is super friendly and Nabila speaks a perfect English, and she will help you with anything you need, including your next travel arrangements. The view is amazing from your terrasse or from the cafe at the reception. Very quiet at night (except for the mosque early morning, but that's everywhere in Indonesia) They serve breakfast/lunch/diner and it was very good. They provided wifi, which was a great help. The network of Telkomsel is also perfect here, so if you have to work, that's absolutely fine. Large bathroom with sink and shower (cold water only) Comfortable bed Fan in the room (it did the job, we had no need for air-co here) Scooter rental is also possible

Dolin Cottage está ubicado en Hilibotodane, a a pocos pasos de Playa Sorake, y tiene alojamiento con un jardín, estacionamiento privado gratis, zona de playa privada y salón compartido. We loved everything about our stay. The bungalow is much better than in the pictures. Super cozy and comfy. They also have a great terrace facing the sea. Dolin and his family are also very kind and friendly and make you feel very welcomed. We loved everything about the guest house and would surely be staying here again!

Ricky's Beach House está ubicado en Pasarsungai-nyala, a 1,9 km de Playa Suwarnadwipa, y ofrece alojamiento con un jardín, estacionamiento privado gratis, zona de playa privada y salón compartido. A wonderful place with clean, comfortable cottages, and dinner at a communal table where all guests had the opportunity to get to know each other, chat, and share experiences. The stuff was very friendly and helpful. We went on a snorkeling trip for a chance to see the paradise. The owner cares about the environment, tries to minimize plastic use, and runs a sea turtle protection project. We highly recommend this place.

Air Manis Hillside Villa Cafe & Resto está ubicado en Padang, a 16 minutos a pie de Playa Air Manis, y tiene alojamiento con un jardín, estacionamiento privado gratis, salón compartido y una terraza. Atención al detalle, muy serviciales , salíamos a las 5:30am y nos habían preparado el desayuno para llevar. La ubicación es increíble, porque estas cerca del puerto de padang (nosotros cogíamos al ferry a la mañana siguiente) , es perfecto para desconectar y descansar en medio de la naturaleza. Las instalaciones con aire acondicionado, cama bastante grande , y una terracita con vistas al atardecer increíbles.

Rumah Nalu surf camp está ubicado en Krui, a a pocos pasos de Playa Mandiri, y ofrece alojamiento con un jardín, estacionamiento privado gratis, zona de playa privada y una terraza. El personal encantador, la ubicacion era perfecta para poder moverte entre las olas.

Panorama Seulako está ubicado en Sabang, a 2,2 km de Playa Iboih, y tiene alojamiento con un jardín, estacionamiento privado gratis, zona de playa privada y salón compartido. We loved it so much we stayed for 5 extra days! You cannot beat this location. The snorkeling just in front of the bungalows is some of the best on the island. The rooms are simple and yes ours didn’t have a sink but it didn’t really phase us. The owners are lovely and very helpful.
