So I need to explain my rating of Sahay… the place itself leaves a lot to be desired BUT the men that run Sahay villas are among the most wholesomely wonderful hosts I have ever had the pleasure to meet… to the point that their warmth, unconditional willingness to please their guests, and all round kindness made me never want to leave… and actually felt quite emotional about it. The location isn’t great, the sheets are stained, worn and threadbare, and pool virtually redundant… but none of that matters when you meet the beautiful people that work 24/7 to accommodate their guests… above and beyond does not cut it. I hope they’re the best paid hosts in Goa as they deserve nothing less. I had a stressful itinerary over the 36 hours I was with them and they made every allowance without a single hesitation. If you’re in need of some love and a delicious breakfast to order, with the most helpful duo I have ever come across - please overlook the location and tired bedsheets and visit Sahay. I left with a full heart and belly 😍. Thank you for the kindness and unwavering efforts. 🙏

My wife and I honeymooned in Azaya for about 10 days in December. This resort is an absolute dream for honeymooners. The food is great, the amenities are fantastic, the rooms are luxurious, the beach is pristine, the staff are professional and friendly. The location of this resort is amazing. It opens up to varca beach, which is clean and quiet. The resort has a lot of beach seats and spaces where you can relax and watch sunsets with your loved ones. Finally, we frequented the public pool which is clean and well equipped. We picked the Azaya XL Pool Suite for our honeymoon and it came with its own pool. It was a little pricey, but the room was luxurious and very spacious. The pool was also clean; we spent most of our time by the pool. The food at the resort was delicious. The complimentary breakfast had an expansive selection of options (idlis, vadas to croissants and donuts) with live counters for dosas and puris. A special mention to Supratim, who made me a delicious avocado toast with poached eggs; it was truly one of the best I’ve had. He also made me a spicy egg bhurji every morning :) Since it was our honeymoon, I wanted to surprise my wife with a candlelit dinner by the beach. Sanjana, the amazing resort manager host was incredibly helpful in organizing this surprise. A special shoutout to Suman and Manohar who were able to accommodate dietary concerns and build a great menu. My wife was floored and we thoroughly enjoyed the “Sunken dining” experience. The sound of the waves, coupled with great company and fantastic food made the evening memorable. Finally, this review would be incomplete without mentioning the resort staff who were friendly, professional and went above and beyond. Special mention to Jayant (who helped us check in), Brajendra (who made sure I always got my ☕️) and of course, Sanjana (who was available on WhatsApp for any queries we had) Thank you for a making our stay memorable, we'll be sure to return one day!
