Extremely kind staff. Super on point. And the private Hotspring in the evening was delightful.

A short stay at this Ryokan was exceptional! We booked for one day and were greeted with many friendly staff members. They were very helpful in giving us directions and tour of our open bath room. We went during a slower day so was able to experience the public bath to ourselves. Our own private bath was also very comfortable and relaxing. On top of this, you must experience the traditional breakfast and dinner menu, the food was unique and quite filling! Lastly, although the location is farther from the train station, they offer free shuttles, highly recommend!

I literally liked everything The cleanses the beds the apartment and the stuff were very helpful and polite also i liked the location ,,,, it far from center but its quite and calm and around it 3 to 4 market (one of them in front of you ) also near bus station (like 2 min by foot ) and for train station ( 10 by foot ) And the best thing it is very close to Arashiyama area I really recommend it

The location of this inn was absolutely perfect - just a bit out of the crowded areas but within a 5 minute walk to the beautiful bridge, monkey park, shops and restaurants. The place was immaculately maintained and clean when we arrived. The train station was also very close, so you could use the local lines to get to key points leading to Osaka and Kyoto city for day trips. Bedrooms and bathrooms were properly equipped, as well as kitchen with all the cooking essentials.

Love how responsive the host was when we communicated. It was nice of her to inform us in advance that we could check in earlier. The house was so clean and cosy, we would definitely stay there if we visit again and highly recommend it to our friends!

The building itself was very beautiful and nicely decorated. The employees were very friendly and helpful and there was a nice area to sit and eat. There is a private bath that can be booked and costs a few yen, which was really nice to get into after a long day outside, we enjoyed it very much. The rooms are traditional, beautiful and kept exceptionally clean. There is a lot of space for belongings and luggage (though one must be careful not to hurt the tatami), a fridge, and a great bathroom which has everything one might need. Im very happy I got to experience sleeping on a traditional bed in a traditional room. I have to admit the mattress was a bit thin for my back so it wasn't too comfortable at first, my partner on the other hand thought its great so it really depends on preference. However, I asked if i can get an extra layer that I can put under to make it softer, and i got one! Afterwards i was sleeping like a baby, so if it seems a bit stiff at first ask for support :). We also got a lot of information on places in the area, including restaurants, everyone was doing their best to keep our stay as comfortable as possible. It truly is a great place and I have nothing I wish was different. The location is also great, close to the main "centre" and some public transport. It is a very good spot, quite relaxing and quiet considering its proximity to the famous streets. Walking down from Sannenzaka and the area, towards out hotel, is one of our very fond memories. A lot to do nearby, and great restaurants. Thank you for our stay, we had a wonderful time, and we hope we can be back sometime in the future.

We stayed there for only one night and wished if it could have been more. Totally loved the place. Centrally located in Kyoto. Minutes walking to the best spots in town. Just cross the street for a metro station and a bus stop. Overlooking the river. Regarding our room it was huge compared to hotels in Japan, our bathroom had a hot tub, pyjamas (kimono style), definitely a Japanese styled bidet and a very large TV screen. They allow luggage storage before check in and after check out. Decent staff. Totally recommended

The hotel is so beautiful and peaceful you almost don't want to leave. The staff were very welcoming and made us feel at home. We had the shabu shabu dinner and 2 Japanese style breakfasts which were cooked right in front of us by the lovely staff who we really enjoyed talking to. The location was only a 10 minute walk from Kyoto station but in a relatively quiet location, which was very much appreciated after the busy tourist spots of Kyoto. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough and we will definitely be returning if we are ever in Kyoto again.
