I liked that it was possible to pay for swimming pool and playground at the reception for 2days staying immediately. Rom was ok, bed was soft and big. Breakfast buffet was tasty,a lot to choose from. Swimming pool and playground were close to each other. Didn't have to go out. A lot activities for the kids. Big parking outside.

Everything was perfect, you can truly tell it is an actual home and not just a rental property! Beds were super comfy and the bathroom was beautiful. Huge and fully equipped kitchen you can make very good use of especially when staying more than just the night we did. Central, but really quiet location. Absolutely loved it!

The location, close to the fort AND the city center. The view over the city and the Fort, the staff, the room, the food, simply amazing! I never give out a 10/10, but this hotel deserved it. Next time I go Halden, I stay at Fredriksten Hotell again.

The staff was so friendly, doing what they could to offer the best stay. The breakfast was delicious, and the highlight is certainly the hiking area, with the island, forest, and beach. Loved it.
