It is amazing! A beautifully restored Roman home! Owners discovered a cistern right under the main floor. It is an open well that is lighted and glass enclosed so you can view it all. Large bedroom; the workmanship is perfection. Lovely bathroom with plenty of hot water. Breakfast made in house by owner Gianfranco !

Everything!! Exceptionally clean, new, & bright!! The breakfast was wonderful!! The hosts were warm and welcoming!! It’s out of the city center, so it was wonderful quiet and peaceful at night. We had a relaxing picnic on our balcony in the evening.

This is by far the most beautiful and unique place we have ever stayed at. Stefania and Claudio are incredibly warm, generous hosts and truly talented artists. They built this place with their own hands, and every room is thoughtfully designed with furniture, dolls, and textiles they created themselves. And just wait until you see the garden — it’s absolutely magical. Their care and attentiveness are endless: they personally tailored breakfast to each guest’s preferences, made dinner reservations for us, offered us equipment for snow hiking, and even surprised us with an engagement gift. Every detail felt personal and heartfelt. The place is spotless and perfectly maintained — towels were changed during our stay, the room was cozy and warm, and the view was simply stunning. This place is beautiful! The spa is lovely and breakfast was really good. We enjoyed the quieter country side at the end of our stay in Italy. Would definitely come back here.

What a beautiful suite, we loved it! It's very modern, looked brand new, immaculately clean, wonderful location and beautiful grounds. It was like an oasis in an already beautiful neighborhood. We never met the staff, but communication was awesome. Having a place to park was a great bonus. And if it weren't for time constraints, we would have stayed longer. This is a 12 out of 10; if it's available, don't miss the chance to stay here!

The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. Our hosts were accomodating and helpful. L'Aquila is charming and the Palazzo is right in the heart of the town. We enjoyed the local restaurants - particularly Trattoria dei Gemelli.
