This 5-star hotel offers a spa experience, with its sauna and hot tub. staff were very accommodating. they allowed us to leave our baggage ahead of the check-in time. since it was also raining, they allowed us to "park" our ebikes inside our room which was spacious enough. bonus was the onsen!

Each plate showed great care, quality ingredients, and fantastic balance of flavours. The sommelier is superb: extremely knowledgeable, with thoughtful pairings and explanations that elevate the entire dining experience. Unequivocally outstanding !!

By far the best hotel experience we had in our 1 month long trip to Japan. Hotel was easy to find with free parking and an excellent location with amazing service. A recently renovated holiday home situated in Onomichi, The Standard Inn Onomichi-Ikuchijima features a garden. We loved the house - beautifully designed, very comfortable. Nice views of the sea and bordered by fruit trees. Nice mix of Japanese and modern/Scandinavian design. Highly recommend, especially if traveling as a couple.
