The house is beautifully designed, our room was very comfortable and VERY clean, and we enjoyed the heated toilet seat :) The bed was so comfortable, we had the best sleep since arriving in Hokkaido. The breakfast was delicious. The rooms are on the first floor and there is no elevator, but this no problem at all. The owner helps to carry the luggage up and down. The location is amazing, beautifully view out of the windows, with no buildings in front. It is a bit out of town, and to have a car is helpful. But they also offer a pick up service. If we will come back to this region we will definitely book again. Thanks for a great stay.

Above all, Kaoru, the owner, is an amazing person. On our way to the house, we had a flat tire and some issues with the rental company — Kaoru drove 40 minutes each way to help us. He also showed us a great local sushi restaurant and gave us excellent travel tips for the area. The house itself is a beautifully renovated old farmhouse, full of charm and attention to detail, while still keeping its authentic character. It’s even nicer than the pictures! The location is quiet and surrounded by the most beautiful nature we saw in Japan. The house was fully equipped — everything worked perfectly, including the washing machine. We even used the karaoke system for the first time in our lives and had so much fun, knowing no one could hear our singing in the middle of nature! If we ever come back to the Furano–Biei area, we will definitely stay at Kaoru’s place again. Thank you, Kaoru, for everything — and for being the kindest face of Japan.
