It's very spacious！ The view of the terrace is refreshed and relaxed. The onsen is awesome！ The bath is big enough for 3 kids to stay in. Everything is fine to our family and we all enjoyed the stay in Terra villa.

The location was perfect for me, 10 minutes walking from the train / bus station and on top of a light hill, so the view from our room was incredibly nice. (This also means that if you are going on foot you have to walk uphill, no big deal for us, but if you have heavy luggage it could be difficult). Both dinner and breakfast were japanese-style, but not too traditional on both taste and texture (I say this as a plus, because my partner is not keen on super traditional Japanese cooking and still managed to eat most of his breakfast). We were also offered non-meat options beforehand, which is great! The building is a mixture of western and japanese styles, so for example the common room has high tables and chairs and a parquet, while the rooms have tatami. Everything was lovely, the common area had a beautiful terrace with a view, our room had a small balcony with outside seats and a private onsen bathtub. The owner is a very nice man and we chatted during dinner. We speak good enough Japanese, so language wasn't a problem, but the owner also speaks good enough English and is very helpful. We had free access to coffee, tea and water from the common room and two complimentary water bottles in the room.

I’ve spent more than a month in Japan and this was my favorite place to stay. The owner is very kind and prepares delicious and authentic food for you every morning. She even offered to drive me to Beppu, which was my next destination,on my last day. The place itself is located in a quiet area and close to nature, which is great. Walking distance from the more commercial part of Yufuin. The House is traditional and oldschool (in a good way) with heating, AC, TV etc. The onsen bath is also nice. Choose this place if you want a more authentic experience in the Age of soulless modern accomodation.

SEKIYA RESORT Terrace Midoubaru is located a 15-minute drive from JR Beppu Station and boasts guestrooms with a semi open-air bath. Guests can soak in the hot spring bath. They had a warm welcome and informative introduction to the facilities. The room was also clean and fully equipped with amenities. The view from our room was magnificent and it was surprisingly quiet even though we were near the restaurant. The breakfast (additional service) was sumptuous and we were glad we had ordered it for all three days. The personal in-room onsen was easy to figure out and was definitely the highlight of the stay! Staff were also friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out.

We had a wonderful stay and felt very much at home—our whole family really enjoyed it. We especially loved being able to enjoy the hot spring right where we were staying; it was such a special experience. The staff were also kind enough to help us book a local dinner that is usually hard to reserve — we truly appreciated it. We hope you continue to maintain this great service. We would love to come back and stay again in the future!

They really take good care of their guests. They helped us with restaurant reservations— and those restos were amazing!The lady that helped us settle in 2 days before, happened to be at the resto we were dining in. It was her day off from work and having her dinner. She got up from her seat and patiently took time to help us pick food and drinks from the Japanese menu! Big space for 4 adults. Having 2 toilets is a plus! Even though we can hear some loud noises late night on the street, we still had good sleep because of the comfortable sheets and mattresses.
