The staff went above and beyond to ensure a fantastic experience. They were not only friendly and welcoming but also attentive to every detail, always ready to assist with a smile.

A 5-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Tawaraya offers Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. Beautiful traditional Ryokan with amazing Onsen near train station. Super friendly owner, would definitely stay again.

At Daymaruya Ryokan, guests can enjoy hot-spring baths and traditional Japanese-style accommodations with free wired internet access. Very very kind hosts. Pick up from train station and shuttle to snow monkey park were super. Extra kindness when we needed favors. Super helpful that they also allow takkyubin delivery. Breakfast were nice and traditional. Really enjoyed the private onsen. Nice spacious traditional room with very clean toilet.

Aburaya Tousen offers luxurious contemporary Japanese-style accommodation with an amazing 11 types of hot-spring baths and free WiFi. Everything is very comfortable

Located in Yamanouchi, 4.3 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park, 塵表閣本店 features accommodation with a hot spring bath, a hot tub and a public bath. Everything. The hospitality of the staff; the room cleanliness, space and location for the Snow Monkey Park. The evening meal and breakfasts were top class and real events. This has been one of the best parts of our tour of Japan.

志賀高原 白い温泉 渓谷の湯 in Yamanouchi provides adults-only accommodation with an open-air bath and a shared lounge. The accommodation has a spa bath and a private open-air bath. Amazing location, food is exceptional, staff very friendly and helpful , I would not even think twice to return back as soon as possible . Next time though a little later in December as our skiing was a little complicated by the fact that the resort wasn’t fully open yet when we arrived

The level of service excellence, the amenities and the attention to detail reaches heights unmatched by any other place we have seen or stayed at.

Hotarutei Villas provides a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 4.4 km of Jigokudani Monkey Park and 14 km of Ryuoo Ski Park. A fantastic location and amazing Villla! The private onset was amazing and the hosts were all brilliant! I would highly recommend!!

Located in Yamanouchi, within 20 km of Jigokudani Monkey Park and 29 km of Ryuoo Ski Park, Hotel Khuls Shigakogen provides accommodation with a restaurant and free WiFi as well as free private parking... Great access to slopes, friendly staff, great food.

Providing mountain views, Hotel Higashidate is located in Yamanouchi and provides a wellness area with a sauna and a hot spring bath. Such an amazing location in ShigaKogan! We had a top floor onsen room that was spacious, comfortable, modern with the luxuries included (massage chair, private onsen, and private dining with a 10+ course dinner every night - some of the BEST Japanese food I have eaten). While the staff had limited English they were beyond accommodating and were happy to for us to use translation apps and appreciative of our poor Japanese language skills. The staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful in arranging our luggage transport and assisting with our departure. Some of the floors of the hotel are a touch dated...but it added to the charm of our stay and overall experience. We will definitely be back :)
