Staff was very friendly and easy to talk to, and the inn made for a great stay. Also the sentō baths were a welcome addition and were nice for relaxing into! The area is calm (for which the only downside is that there isn't a lot of choice for restaurants around), close to transportation and good for sightseeing around Mastushima — we took the sightseeing ferry around the bay and had a great time.

The host and their family were incredibly welcoming, always cheerful, and full of positive energy, making us feel truly at home from the moment we arrived. During our stay, we had the rare opportunity to enjoy a live performance of traditional dance, Tsugaru shamisen, and folk songs. It was absolutely mesmerizing to watch and to learn the stories and traditions behind each performance. We were especially delighted that a kimono sensei was present to guide us step-by-step on how to properly wear a kimono, making the experience even more authentic and meaningful. What made it even more special was being able to participate in a hands-on session where we learned some of the dance steps ourselves. This gave us a much deeper appreciation for the local culture and traditions, creating memories we will cherish forever. The next morning, we enjoyed a relaxing breakfast with freshly brewed coffee and tea, accompanied by their delicious farm-produced honey. Knowing that the honey was lovingly made by the family on their own farm, surrounded by the beautiful natural landscapes of Aomori, made it taste even more special. This stay was the perfect blend of cultural immersion, local flavors, and genuine hospitality. We are truly grateful for the kindness, joy, and unforgettable experiences shared by the host and their family. Nambu Town is a fascinating place and truly a hidden gem. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an authentic and heartwarming experience.

A very traditional Japanese guest house with ultra friendly and accommodating hosts. This property has been in their family for generations and they go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The meals were excellent and there was an English explanation for each dish served 😊. A big bonus is the short walk to the stairs to climb Mt Haguro. (Not that that makes the stairs any easier!) We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay here!

Even before our late arrival, the kind gentleman in charge guided us patiently through everything via a messaging app—making sure we felt welcomed and informed before even stepping through the door. Upon arrival, we were amazed: the room was spotless, beautifully scented, and perfectly prepared. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and everything was designed for comfort and relaxation—an electric barbecue, a warm outdoor bath, and even a fully stocked fridge with a delicious homemade dinner and breakfast ready for us. What truly made it magical was the subtle care: the next morning, while we were away, they quietly collected the used items and restocked the fridge with a fresh dinner—like little invisible fairies making sure everything remained perfect without ever disturbing our peace. This place is perfect for anyone looking to disconnect, reconnect with nature, or enjoy a romantic escape. I still don’t know the name of the kind man who greeted us each morning with a warm smile, but I want to sincerely thank him—his presence made our stay even more special. I can only recommend R;MOGAMI with all my heart.
